Hi, I started vaping about a week ago. Let me first say that I love it. Anyway, I've been vaping for the past week on the same 510 atty. Today, I decided to clean that atty, so I started to use a new one. And wow. All I can say is blegh! The vile taste! The complete lack of TH! I do not remember this dysphoria breaking in the first atty. I heard the bad taste can be accredited to the various chemicals and test-PG used in manufacturing. Am I better to burn this stuff off (if so, how long will it take to break in), or should I throw it in the isopropyl alcohol with the other atty?

you can blow the primer out. I use centrifugal force. I have a little syringe container, i pad the bottom with tissue and tie a string around it. Drip in the atty thread down and zip it around and around for a half a minute and it cleans it out pretty good. It doesnt hurt my face as much either. After you do that (or blow it out: from the cartridge side out of the threads into a tissue) be sure to prime it with a few drops of juice to get it good an wet.

I find my atomizers are pretty well broken in after 2 days or so. Also, quality control isnt the best on atomizers. Two atomizers from even the same pack can vary greatly in quality.

I hate breaking in new atty's. Sometimes it takes 1/2 an hour, other times 1/2 a day. I put a new one on recently and it took 2 days before it started tasting decent. I always blow them out onto a white tissue so I can see when I'm done. I then add 4 or 5 drops, take about 5 hits without inhaling, then inhale cautiously. If it's still nasty, I'll drip a couple more drops and repeat the process until I can stand to inhale it. Some brands are worse than others. I got some 901 atty's that didn't have any primer and they were good after about an hour of vaping. I got some unknown brand LR's that took forever.

I don't clean an atty with chemicals except as a last resort. I've cleaned a couple in iso that never tasted right afterwards. Same with a dry burn, if you're not careful you can scorch it or burn it out. The best thing you can do IMHO is just vape through the nastiness of a new atty, it'll get better...eventually.
