Well under those conditions I don't see why it wouldn't last forever I don't think there is anything biodegradable in there it is just metal and wire. Now that is talking about unused.
One thing that maybe someone else could answer is now that I think about it is the primer put on the atty... will THAT lose effectiveness and change my forever theory?
I would think that as long as their stored dry (to avoid rusting etc), and primed with a few drops of juice before using (which we all normally do anyways), that there would be any issue.....
The "only" issue is if it was a DOA atty and now the warranty is over......
Anticipating a ban, I stocked up. Now I find that my first ones just won't die. I plan on vaping for the rest of my life, no matter what the FDA says, and I'm still stocking.

When i got my stockpile of attys i just left them in the plastic bag they came in. I found that the primer fluid leaked out and got all over the inside of the bag. So i moved them into little cardboard boxes instead.
I checked all of mine with the multimeter to make sure they were OK, and then just dumped them in the bin. My first is still going after months of use. I strongly believe that they are lasting because I don't over clean them, and I don't pump in more than 5volts. Keeping them wet makes a difference too.
