how can i go ohms wise on 650mah and a 450mah. made a 1.2 ohm micro coil just wonder if an ego can handle somthing that low . im waitn on my mvp

The mAh has nothing to do with it. The eGo only has a weak 2.5 amp switch regulator which means it can't handle effectively, resistance below about 2.0 ohms. You need a model with at least a 3.5 amp switch, with a 5 amp switch being better. Even with a 5 amp switch, 1.2 ohm is about as low as they will handle.

You are right on the edge of what the 650 can handle. IMO you will fry the battery if you continue to use it. The 450 will not handle it. It should not fire it because the over current protection should kick in. If it does fire it the battery will die and possibly vent before it does. That can get exciting with flame and a loud bang.

The eGo batteries are not good for vaping these low resistance setups. You really should get yourself a better PV :thumb:

What's wrong with a 2.0..mine is fine at that!

Nothing's wrong with 2.0 ohms. The Joye rGo-c Twist has a 3 amp limit and you can go to 1.5 ohms. I've used 1.5 ohm coils on regular Joyetech eGo's for about three years now on one flavor - espresso. Most flavors do well at 1.8 ohms and lighter flavors at 2.2 ohms. Going below 1.5 ohms is asking for trouble on any eGo style batt.

You're right, except like wv2win says, it has nothing to do with mAh's.

Kent, I understand that mAh refers to capacity. I was differentiating between the 650 and the 450 mAh batteries. The C rating on these is the same, so the 450 has a lower amp limit than the 650 mAh.

Just wanted to chime in on this question. Although I haven't used an eGo in some time, I decided to make a 1.0 ohm Micro coil just to see what happened. It killed the battery, made it useless. The light got stuck on and wouldn't shut off. So eGo style batteries don't handle really low ohm. If you ever need to use it again and are curious, stay above 1.2 and try to stay away from Micro coils.
