I am curious to know how many batteries people use a day with their mechanical mods. I thought this thread could be helpful for others when they are starting to invest in more advanced vaping equipment.

  • The batteries you use/how many
  • The ohm resistance of your coils
  • The amount of juice you vape in day
  • The mod you are using

Russian 91/Provari mini. Wrapped at .85, Provari set between 2.9-3.1v, with 18350. Using the extension cap and an 18500 will add a couple of hours. Use normal old A&W for the Provari.

One battery lasts 7-9 hours...

So one per work day, two all day.

If I am running a dipper it gets silly, even with the Sonys

REO will use about 3 a day at 1 ohm, which is why I quit using it as my at work vape.

AW 18650 1600mAh / 2 batteries a day
.6Ω
3-4ml 24mg
Reo Grand

Fresh battery goes in when I wake up, switch batteries out late afternoon. Crazy predictable and faithful setup.

About my usage/vaping habits:

I can vape constantly while I work, so I'm not restricted to vape breaks, but I wouldn't describe myself as a "chain vaper." I take a good deep 2-4 hits sporadically throughout the entire day. Maybe around every 5-10 minutes or so?

I just realized I never posted my stats. I'm hoping this thread will be helpful for people that are new to vaping so they know what to generally expect and can purchase accordingly.

  • Sony VTC4 18650's on my mechanical and Panasonic NCR18650B's on my VV/VW
  • 1.5 - 2.0ohms
  • 5-8ml
  • Black Nemesis uses 4 batteries; SS Vamo V5 uses 2 per day

The batteries you use/how many

AW IMR 18350 (about 3 a day), 18490 (2 a day) & Sony VTC4 (1 every 3 days or so. Don't use my dripper too much these days)

The ohm resistance of your coils

0.9 ohm (for 18350 and 18490)
0.25 ohm (for 18650)

The amount of juice you vape in day

about 5ml on a weekday
about 10ml on weekend day

The mod you are using

MCR-101 (18350) or GP Paps V3 (18500) w/ RSM Rocket Genesis
Any 18650 lying around with Origen v2

Now this is a tough question for me as it really depends on what I'm doing. For example home all day I tend to vape more hence I'm using IMR 18650 either Sony VTC5 or Efest 35A Purple in my Nemesis mods. Now when using a Kayfun which are between 1.1 and 1.9 ohms. I am also using a Kick 2 with the Kayfun setups regardless of the batteries I'm using. Now with this setup I am getting 5 to 6 hours per battery depending on the number of hits I take in that time. Now with RDA I tend to build from .3 to .9 ohms and the same 18650 batteries last me about 2 to 2.5 hours before starting to drop noticeably.

Now when I'm away from the house I carry a Nemesis with a Kick2, kayfun built as stated previously but with either the Efest Purple batteries in 18350 or 18500. I 5 - 6 hours out a 2 18350 and about 8 - 9 hours out of a pair of 18500. The 18350 are 700 mAh and the 18500 are 1000 mAh.

Now in my new Cana Modz (Hana V3 clone) with either the Sony VTC5 or Efest 35A I am getting 5.75 - 6.25 hours from fully charged to check battery pops up. I've have yet to use the Efest Purple IMR 18650 20A 3100mAh yet and if they work as well as the Sony or Efest 35A then they will be my battery of choice for this mod since I really wouldn't go much below .7 ohm build on it. I will time them when I have a day at home to vape as usual as I don't vape as much when away from home.
