How many have gone full circle when it comes to tobacco flavors?

Am I the only one? When I first started vaping I was like everone and just wanted to find the "perfect cig/tobacco" taste when it came to e-cigs/PV's. I then tried so many fruit, coffee, dessert flavors etc...which I actually liked (and still like many of them). But I have gone back to tobacco flavors. I know so many people want to "get away" from the tobacco taste because (I guess) it reminds them of an analog but I'm back to "The Dark Siide" ...really of everything I've tried I just can't get the satisfactin as having a good tobacco flavor. I'll admit there's nothing that will taste like a real cig but that's ok. I have come to realize I prefer the "so-called" tobacco flavors (e.g 555, wyatt earp, Ry4 etc...) more so than the others.

Is it just me?

Phase 1: "Marlboro" pre-filled carts so not worthy of the name, but thinking I'm easing the transition away from the real thing.

Phase 2: Have my feet under me, so I try every bizarre, ridiculous/sublime flavor I find. It's a novelty; for awhile, it works.

Phase 3: Seduced by free 3ml sample of Wyatt Earp sent me by FSUSA (along with my ordered flavors of blueberry waffle, boston cream pie and atomic fireball). Doesn't taste anything like the incinerated Marlboro of recent memory--it's better, like cured, raw tobacco turned to liquid, then vapor. I'm reassured of my manhood.

I have , I think, come around to the full circle you speak of. I have so many different Flavors in my cabinet because i just had to try them all. It has boiled down to 555 or RY3 and for the fruity part of me Blueberry Cheesecake. Now that i have made the full circle and i have found exactly what i want, I plan on saving some money now~ till the next new flavor comes out :)

I started out with tobacco flavors and then started trying a few fruit flavors. Began to like the fruit flavors more than the tobacco flavors. Now, within the last week or so, I find myself gravitating back to the tobacco flavors. Maxboro, RY4. I have some cherry tobacco from BWB that I haven't tried yet. I'm waiting for it to age a few more days. And some Maple tobacco, and Applewood tobacco. I hope they are all as good as I anticipate.

But anyway, yeah, I've come full circle back to tobacco, albeit some of it is flavored tobacco.

I started with tobacco flavor from the place I got my first (and only) e-cig from. I then tried menthol, and AC from Tasty Vapor. I have found that these are the only flavors I really need. I'm kind of a minamilist I guess. I opperate on the KISS principal on most things in life, cause it works for me. If I want a waffle or whatever, I will eat one.

I've always had all sorts of variety around, because I feel like something different every day, if not every hour or two.
I have a few tobacco, coffee, dessert, and candy type flavors that I use frequently, from various vendors.

I also have a bag of any sampler bottles that I haven't given away to my sister yet because I'm still playing with them.
They provide even more variety over and above the variety of all of my standard favorites.

One thing I don't have is any fruit flavors.
I keep trying them, but they just don't work for me.

But I am noticing a trend lately where I am wanting to use the tobacco flavors more and more often.

I wanted to stay with tobacco taste/aroma when I started vaping, after smoking for 44 years and yes I loved my first puff from a freshly lit cigarette, I didn't want to do anything that would upset my resolve to quit ~ 2-3 packs of cigarettes a day were killing me, and I knew it. After trying everything else to quit the e-cig was my last chance.
When I found Johnson Creek Original, it was perfect! Real tobacco flavor, a little bit sweet and nutty, I was happy as a clam. Then I needed to switch to VG, PG bothered me bad, and all the sudden JC decided to change their formulas, no VG, no more real tobacco flavor, so back to the drawing board.
I spent a fortune to find good tobacco flavor that I could sweeten a bit, DIY, that's still what I use, 24-7.
If I want cotton candy (and I do, often!) I buy cotton candy, I don't want it in my e-cig. Or fruit either.
For the last year + my vaping is now still a very satisfying thing, good tobacco, and I've even managed to cut down nicotine/vaping overall...I don't know if I will ever give it up totally. At least I know it's doing no harm to myself or anyone around me.
If I hadn't done it I probably wouldn't be here, period, bottom line. Oh, by the way, some of the "tobacco" juices really had no resemblance to tobacco at all, I found out. I think I tried them all!
That may be changed now, but I still DIY, just cheaper and I know what's in it for sure. I guess I am a purist too, and KISS is my creed as well.

Hi Kate51! I just ordered some VG from Johnson Creek. I emailed them prior to find out if they had any VG and they said that their Red Oak were VG and PG free. I ordered the Domestic flavor that supposedly taste like real tobacco. I have no idea how good it is as I am still waiting for it to arrive, but it received good reviews on their site.

Sunrise, you should not be disappointed, they are a top quality, reliable company. I went to DIY just simply because they were also going through a change they had to do, as a commercial supplier. After my favorite was gone, I just did my own, I don't disparage the company in any way. I just simply couldn't wait for them to work out their "new" formulas.
That was over a year ago now.

I thought maybe you did not know about the Red Oak, but now I look at your bio, I see you are not a newbie to this. Good to know they are a good company!
Seems like way to many companies out there to decide from (kinda makes a girl dizzy), and I may soon be there right behind you DIY myself too. Even the EcoPure makes me allergic. I think it may be from China? Like you, I want to know what really I am putting into my body.

TY!
All the best,
Sunrise

Actually, I never left tobacco flavors. I dabbled a little bit in some sweet flavors, which I use for my 0mg pacifier vaping. But for nicotine hits, tobacco flavor (or sometimes espresso) is for me. If I've gone full-circle on anything, it's on "Marlboro" (or similar USA-made variations thereof), i.e., lighter, simpler tobacco flavors. For example, Backwoods Brew's "Maxboro" is a current favorite. The Wyatt Earps and Boba's Bountys are all tasting a bit heavy to me right now. [But check in with me again next month.;)]

I do believe litecig carries RY2, RY3, and RY4
As do myFreedomSmokes and Cignot.

I still like my RY4, 555, and Camel flavors. but still seem to lean more towards coffee, vanilla, and anything sweet. Guess I haven't made it full circle yet, and I don't think I plan on it with SOOOO many diff flavs out there.

DIY is a defo stay trait with me, tho I do like my 5mL premixes to test things out and get ideas for new DIY flavors.
