Since vaping went mainstream, there have been fewer than 30 kerbooms. Pay attention to your power settings, basic battery safety, resistance, and you'll be fine.

Basic battery safety includes things like keeping them in a case when not in use, not charging them unattended, and not sttessing them by running the power too high or against resistances too low...

So with a mod like mine. Built in battery and 40w max. I shouldnt have to worry bout n e thing. And basically can tell them to blow it out their behind correct...

The mod has many protections built in. Keep it from autofiring in a pocket by locking it or turning it off when pocketed, and don't leave it unattended when charging (like plugging it in and going to bed), and you'll be fine...

Like all things, YES, you should be, but even regulated devices go thermal. Its a matter of being aware. Dont leave it charging without supervision. Dont leave it charging over night, dont use it while charging, especially if its get warm right away.

Like Tonee N said, there are far more dangerous risks we do all the time. You cant live paranoid, just educate yourself and be aware of anything that does not seem right.

So... Have any of us had the problem of Blowing up.... Nah not yet...

as for batteries... The batteries on the other hand.... the blow up is more with cheap Mechanical mods that do not have an airflow hole... Combined with people not understanding about battery safety... but as long as you do your research you should be fine.

Those things cause batteries to short and vent and in Rare occasions... that can cause a semi violent reaction. This can happen with any type of battery to be honest, but because of the low resistance that some Vapors push their devices too, it is more common among vaping batteries.

Ive had batteries short out... once... A pair of them (Not through unsafe practices more that I just put them in the wrong way). I tossed my mod out the window once they started venting..... cuz i was afraid. It was rather a underwhelming experience. the batteries fizzed a bit and smoke came out of them... there was a small pop from each one and that was it. Nothing exploded. worst that would have happened is some chemicals if it happened in my pocket.

If you really wanna be safe... and you dont trust yourself most good Variable Wattage mods have safeguards to protect against unsafe ohms and autofiring

It all comes down to respect and common sense. 2 things that are getting harder to come by now days. Respect your gear and it'll respect you. Common sense....well you can't fix stupid.

To put it into perspective ~ if there were models of mobile phone that had no upper limits of power consumption and amp draw, which could easily be set to kamikaze level through basic ignorance of their operation, then they would be exploding like popcorn globally. Add into that party mix people carrying spare phone batteries around in their pockets with their spare change due to this high power consumption....

I have never seen a video of a mech blowing up :?:
I've only seen articles from newspapers and websites which show a wrecked mechanical mod and blood everywhere. The guy is usually lying in a hospital bed.

However, I have seen multiple videos of explosions involving vaping on video.
One video was a regulated device plugged into a phone charger,
the majority of videos are of batteries which are left in people's pockets next to many other metallic objects.

Don't be silly with your devices. Like all electronics and batteries (built-in or not), treat them correctly.
