USA...the tiny state of SC
I quit the analogy the same day I started vaping....2/18/12. Since then I've converted 2, and am working on 2 more. The first 2 no longer smoke analogs.....the last 2 still smoke a few a day, but nowhere near what they were smoking! I consider that partial success. :). And have to agree with some of the others....pple say it costs too much to set up......that's bs! Only costs about the same as a carton of analogs to get a decent kit and get started!

I'm glad to see most of the other members have had more success than I have had. Of course that is pretty easy to do since I have converted a whopping zero people (at least that I know of). I think part of the problem is that most of my friends are in their mid to late 20's and still have the invincible mentality. Its odd though because most of them seem to be intrigued by my switch since I still go out in between classes with them.

I know of four people who I convinced to switch in the little over 3 months I've been vaping. They all knew I was a smoker & saw me vaping. . To them, like me, it was a no-brainer once they found something other than the party store one-time e-cigs. This forum helped them choose. And to think, some legislative bodies want to ban this product. How stupid are they? Maybe the health insurance providers can help stop them.

So far with me none. People are interested but thats as far as it goes. It's only been 1 month 1/2 for me and I want everyone I know how I quit smoking. I smoked for 32 years and I am so proud of myself. I want everyone to know. I bring it up in conversation if they seem interested I'll talk about it, if not I let it go. I have some people in my circle who roll they're own so they see that as cheaper, but they know it's not good for them. I posted a video on my FB page explaining vaping, so hopefully someone will watch it. I planted a seed so to speak. Maybe it'll help someone.

VAPE ON !!!

None for me so far either, I think you have to really want to quit smoking analogs before you can honestly give vaping a real try. All my friends are very interested in my pvs, but I think it may be too overwhelming for most people, and certainly not as easy as stopping at the gas station for analogs. Coupled with crappy chinese disposables and such, it seems to be a fad to most people. Then think about how much research and trial and error you do on your own, sadly not worth it to a lot of hard core smokers.

I have been vaping for almost a year. I play a crazy amount of pool... so im around analogs a lot. the first 4 months i started vaping I never vaped at the pool halls or the tournaments, once i got comfy and started to vape i guess in public in the first 2 months I converted 23 people just at my pool hall i play out of most. God knows how many people i have told to visit ecf so they can do research themselfs to get started..

I'm also brand new at this...so far nobody but I've sure planted a few seeds! I've told quite a few people about vaping; next Sunday I'm going to an Easter party and of course I'll bring my new toy along. :)

This afternoon I chatted with my neighbor, who has been talking about quitting smoking for a while, and offered him a few hits off my PV loaded with fresh pineapple flavor juice. After coughing up a lung (ha) he was so impressed he's vowed to get one with his next SS check.
