I quit smoking a month and a half ago with one of the 7-11 type E-cigarettes . I had been smoking for 18 years without any breaks longer than a week or two without a cigarette from patches or gum . 3 weeks ago I bought an Ego-C and right after letting a couple friends try it out two have already bought their own Ego-C's and quit with me . I have a couple other friends ready to purchase kits themselves . I was wondering if this is normal for most people .. It feels like switching over to a vp is like wildfire around friends and family who still smoke .

Well I am new to vaping but personally I have found resistance from friends who smoke to even consider the idea. I don't blame them, when you are not familiar with e-cigs it's very hard to believe that they could actually be at all comparable to smoking - I know I didn't believe it. I didn't really understand how they worked and thought it would just be similar to nicotine replacement gums etc, (which I disliked and which didn't make me want to smoke any less). My next conversion tactic will be making friends try my e-cig. That is what worked for me, that someone let me try their's.

I have been vaping for a little over two weeks. In that time I have converted 7 going on 8 people over. Next is my mom and her bf:). I just wait for smokers to ask me about it ( I have to vape in the smoking section at work) once they ask I tell them about it and offer to let them try it. I have several drip tips so that I don't have to worry about strangers germs lol.

It spreads like wildfire, my wife and I started vaping and have converted about 9 people, not to mention those 9 have bought pv kits to give as gifts to those that they want to covert. Who knows maybe soon we will see the president vaping, he is an ex-smoker.

I would imagine the pres would be a stealth vaper......:p

My mom's interested, but I'm still searching for a kit which is going to be simple enough for her. This sounds silly, as these are pretty easy once you get the hang of it, but my mom is probably the worst person with technology ever. She doesn't even get the hang of her cellphone. :p

A few friends of mine are also interested and are in the stages of shopping. And oddly, I have a few friends who are on very restrictive diets who are considering PVs as a way to taste the carb-laden sweets that they so desperately miss, in a zero-nicotine format. (This may be caused by me vaping cheesecake. Oops.)

Glad my mother quit smoking when I was a teen .. You think your mother is bad with technology my mother still doesn't understand what the address bar on a browser is . I catch her typing in hotmail.com , youtube.com in the google search engine instead of the adress bar . I can only imagine trying to teach her how to use a VP would be .
