Only been doing this for 1 week now and already have 2 converts from analogs. :)

Everyone's first instinct is to laugh...then ask questions about it and most show genuine interest in it after they understand what it really is.

It has really been a life changing event for me and I am happy to know I may be helping others at the same time.

Please share your stories with us. :vapor:

One but he fell off the wagon.

My problem is I'm working on lost causes. A lot of folks on Mrs. Kodiak's side are heavy smokers. Many of them figure If I can quit then it can't be that tough (There's an insult looming in there somewhere).

Unfortunately, I'm finding they're not only stupid, they're also lazy and want me to be their supplier for everything e-cig related. Adios you bums. You have credit cards and internet access like I do.

The looming insult is against themselves. Like I said, it's a narrow path and not for the lazy or foolish. vape on brother. :vapor:

My wife and I converted her two sisters, (she did most of the convincing, I just helped them with technical issues, questions, etc) and I'm working on my daughter (24y/o). We'll see how it goes.

Good luck fellow PA citizen. I hope they all find the light. My biggest problem with converting people is with the amount of work it's going to give me. Not that I'm against that but it's just like when people ask me to help them with their computer problems. I do all the work and even if I try to show them how to do it they seem to learn nothing but the fact that I'll fix it for them in the future. This isn't everyone but it is a majority. My wife bought me a shirt that says "No, I will not fix your computer". I think we should come up with a "No, I won't fix your flooding problem" shirt. Or how about "No, I won't clean your atomizer" .

well, even though i have been vaping for years. i have converted 0 people. i have shown lots of people and even given people gear and gave them e-liquid when they were broke and sooner or later they all ended up going back to the analogs.
my new policy is to give out information nothing more. does not matter that i have the gear to spare, i will make them pay me something for it. this way they feel like if they don't use it they threw some money away. if you can afford to smoke analogs you can afford to vape.

Awesome policy. Have them financially invested. Makes it a bit more personal.

One thing I wonder if anyone has encountered. This happened when I tried to get a co-worker to try it. Have you ever let a friend try your e-cig and they cough like crazy? I feel it'll never get him to try. And trust me, he NEEDS to quit the analogs, lol.

Yes, this happens to many people that try mine. It's because they don't know how to hit it correctly. Even when they take a quite shallow draw they cough. It's usually because they hit it like a cigarette and get a partial hit with lots of air and the coil hasn't really begun to vaporize the liquid so they get a harsh coil hit. There is a higher concentration of nicotine in eliquid. The vapor molecules are much larger than smoke and don't deliver nicotine in your lungs very well. Most of it gets absorbed in your mucous membranes in your mouth (like chewing tobacco) and nasal passages. That higher concentration of nicotine can be harsh on the throat as well as the PG.

Exactly. If someone has nothing invested then they have nothing to lose. Really the thing they have to lose is their health but they are lost and can't see that

37 converts in 8 months...32 vapeing exclusively...2 that quit vapeing and gave kits back. I never charged a cent for the cheapie kits I gave out but did advised they were cheap clones that would die quickly and gave then the card for a good local store to upgrade (28 of them did upgrade at the store) it was a personal goal to convert 1 person for each year I smoked and I suceeded

My biggest thing is to inform those people. I find that allot of people really want to try it. They just don't know how to get started. 1 of the 2 people I help is a smokeless tobacco user. Not sure I'd he will make it. The other is somewhat of a tinkerer like me and this will be hobby and a life saver to him.

YES!!! I always try and convert people and even let them try mine.... Everyone always starts coughing and choking?!?!

This was on an eGo Twist setup at 3.8-3.9V with a 12 Mg juice. Definitely not too crazy strong!!

On a side note, got my first dripper at a B&M and the employee set me up on his mech mod 0.41ohms and 12mg of Strawberry juice and I nearly lost a long with all that coughing LOL

Oh and YES I have successfully converted my mother after 43 years of smoking :) tomorrow will be 3 weeks analog free for her!!!

That is wonderful!
I am hoping to do that with my father. He is a smoker if at least 40 years and extremely set in his ways. It won't be easy.
