IMHO that is way too much! vaping is a method to quit smoking not drowning yourself in nicotine.

Interesting you say that. I do agree, but I recently went back to my local vape shop (unfortunately 20ml at 24mg/day guy wasn't working) and was asking around without naming names if vaping that much is possible. There happened to be an older gentleman there who said after smoking 2 cartons a week for 50 years he quit by going from 24mg-0mg but every time he decreased his nicotine strength the amount of vapor he in took was increasing. He said he currently vapes 30mls a day but with 0mg of nicotine. I proceeded to ask him where he finds the time. Then he shows me the lanyard around his neck with his little ego twist, pulls out 15 EVOD BCC tanks and laughs. I have to say that's pretty funny. Does anyone else know of vaporists like this that still vape at 0mg? I don't know if I would be able to get to 0mg, hahahaha.

Hey everyone,

Nic here with a quick (possibly idiotic) question. At what point does a vape collection get to be an obsession and too much to handle. I recently ran into a sales person at my local vape store who told me he has over 100 different batteries, carts, atomizers, mods and the like. Not that I couldn't fathom that many accessories, but to which point does the hobby end and the addiction to nicotine become something worse then when you were smoking analogs? He was bragging about vaping more than 20ml's of juice a day of 24mg, is that even safe? Hahaha.

Anyways, I appreciate any feed back guys :)

When I began I vaped 36 mg X 50-60 ml per week. If he's vaping 20 ml per day it's possible he needs to up his Nic/ mg or needs some WTA. As for all his gear it sometimes just happens but realize he's prolly getting his stuff at discount.
Smoking is an addiction and sometimes certain aspects of that addiction can carry over into other parts of our lives. You'll find many members here, including myself, will openly admit to having an addictive personality. Unfortunately many are also looking for that elusive perfect hit. Myself I own lots of gear but I research it fully, am patient and wait for deep discount sales. How many bought the Version 1 ProTank when it was first released for about $25.00+?

I'm vaping zero Nic after vaping Nic for two years. I sometimes vape on weekends, social gatherings or in stressful situations. Can go for weeks or months without a vape and no issues. Mind you it took me two years to get where I'm at "comfortably" and at my own pace. You'll find some members here are aiming for zero nic and some are actually vaping zero. I found once I was down to 12 mg it really wasn't the Nic that I was addicted to but more so the hand to mouth action. Each to his own but I like the feeling of going out and not freaking if I don't have my vape with me.

I bought my eCab by Joytech two weeks ago and I love it. I know a lot of people who go to extremes with everything and I think vaping is no exception. So far my vaping costs are outnumbering my smoking costs but I know that will soon change. I have had to buy more juice but as for the components of the starter kit, I have had little problems and it only cost me $35. There was one changeable component which caused me some issues but the store quickly replaced it for free and I have had no additional costs. A friend came over yesterday and he has turned vaping into a hobby; he makes his own juice and has a lot of different devices. I don't see myself going that direction any time soon; I couldn't afford it to begin with. I have experimented with some different flavors and that part is fun!

20ml of juice a day..wow, that makes me feel a whole lot more "reasonable" at 3ml per day! Lots of accessories, lots of "gear"...for me, that kind of comes with the territory of venturing off in to a new interest. Whether you do it to quit analogs, because it is more socially acceptable, for insurnace reasons, employment reasons, health reasons or simply to cease smelling like an ashtray, vaping attracts more an more people every day. When one purchases their first Ego 650mah , just to see if this is something that will live up to the hype and be something they want to switch to.... they have no useful idea how long a 650 mah will last. Or if it is as good as ..say...a Provari with a 12ml Dual coil tank. Chevette -vs- Ferrari. As ones tastes become defined or refined, there are usually economic considerations of upgrading gear to something more personally suitable.... who really wants to buy a used Ego 650 off of you? No one...it accumulates. lol
I personally wouldnt be concerned with this kind of accumulation unless you have spoken to a contractor regarding additions to your home to house your vaping gear in! :)

Don't know how much is too much, if you can't pay the mortgage because you're buying mod after mod, I guess that would be too much.

I have 2 eVics, 16 tanks, 5 spinners, 30+ drip tips, batteries, chargers, and lots of cartos, attys, spare parts, extra heads, etc... and I'm still shopping and buying more. Doesn't count the stuff I have DIYing my own juice.

I've had to upgrade my storage system 3 times now to hold everything in a manner that fits my OCD personality.

Ok what kind of storage system is that? You know...for all the other OCD's out there?

If I had to guess I'd say I have at least 15-20 twists, probably 20ish cartos, 5 or 6 chargers and no telling how many different juices.

For a couple of years I dealt with a vendor that handled nothing but 808 bats and carto's so I have a healthy supply of those. Then I got tired of my old tanks leaking so I switched over to 510 carto's. I didn't like the adapters I'd have needed to use my old 808 bats so I bought some joyetechs which meant new chargers, etc, etc ..

Today I decided I wanted to try out a Provari so I'd imagine I'll soon be ditching the 1000Mah Joyetechs and just keeping the 650's for when I don't want to carry around the Provari.

I justify this to myself by thinking of the $ I've saved by not buying analogs (not a lot probably).

Having thousands of mods and atomizers are alright, but smoking 20 mL of 24 mg nicotine a day? Might as well stick to cigs.
I would disagree, 20 ml of 24mg might be an exaggeration. But vapeing it would still be safer than smoking. its all a question of tolerance.

I can drink 10 cdn beers before showing symptoms of being drunk. where some only need 2. I keep 1 mod on a lanyard with a carto tank full with 18mg strength, another on standby. 2 more mods with 15mg strength on .8ohm gennies. By the end of the day, the gennies would have been refilled at least once. and the carto tanks would be almost empty. Sitting in a truck all day driving with nothing else to do but vape, yes it would be possible to go through 15 to 20 mls of liquid. It may not be be the norm, but its possible. Especially if you were a 2 pad smoker for 32yrs. before hand.:)

When I was using strictly aspires on my Provari I would go through 2-3ml per day. Now I am using 90% of the time one of my 8 mechs and my Kayfuns. I can go through 6ml a day now as the kayfuns with a 1.2 ohm coil on a mech can eat juice real fast.

This is why I DIY so I can do it cheap, and I also only vape 6mg. I have a couple juices at 12&14mg for drinking on the weekends.

I know when I was using clearos I had enough that I could grab a new clean one once or twice a week, then when I had a dozen "dirty" ones, make an evening project of cleaning them...but as I moved up from ce4 to no as, the ce4s are going away (maybe keep a few and a few egos as backups/travel vapes).. So as I find a "better system and upgrade, the old goes away for me...

I vape 15 ml a day of 12 mg nic juice, 20 ml on my days off sometimes, well, most times. It's not that hard to do if one has quality rba's and vape at 15, 30, or 50 watts and higher. High watt vaping atomizes a lot more juice than vaping at 8 watts, way more. Though 24 mg nic would totally knock me on my azz. Had to lower my nic to 12 mg once I jumped up the watts and my build got really good. But, 24 mg could be doable to one who has a high tolerance level built up, but not for this guy. I also DIY juice, so my cost of juice is probably lower than those who only vape 5 ml a day.

Not counting the cig-a-likes and ego's that I've given away, my current collection consists of a Provari, Nemesis clone, Stingray B.C., VV Beast Box, and anticipating the Big Nasty and future to arrive next month. have 8 rba's, 7 18650's, 3 18490's, 4 26500's and 3 26650 batteries and 3 battery chargers. Oh yeah, have the Origin clone and some funky hybrid mod that sits in a jar. Thinking of doing a DNA30 build also.

Out of control? umm maybe, great start on an excellent collection of quality gear and different ways to vape, I like to think so. lol. I've only been a vaper for about 9 months though, so had some catching up to do. When I first started and saw the collections of some of the people here had, I thought, why the heck would they need all that? Well, it's a disease that is highly contagious through a broadband connection, is all I can figure out.

So I lowered my nicotine strength from 18mg-12mg and have found im vaping a solid 5ml a day. I also noticed my raging hard on for mods and e-cig accessories is growing...and growing.....and growing XD just ordered the cloud chaser package from mikey at vapehappy also ordered myself a silverback mod from planet of the vapes and a vicious ant kraken atomizer....Its expensive....not excessive...HAHAHAHA
