saved $1,200 i would have spent on cigarettes the past 4 months. during that period i have spent couple hundred on vapor products. mostly went to blu unfortunately and their cartomizers...i use a joye eGo-t now and refill juice myself. so it cost a lil bit finding the right PV setup for me. still only a fraction of what i used to pay for real cigs.

Tacoma Wa,
I think i send more right now.
I only spent about $7.50 a carton using a machine and buying my own tabbaco and tubes.

But i am figuring out now after looking on the web i can buy a 50ml bottle for like $13.99 and cheap cartos. it might work out cheaper soon... that is if i quit buying cool extras.:) stainless steel and chrome things have always been a weakness for me.

I've spent roughly around $600 (things are a wee bit more expensive in my country) and I've been vaping for less than a month. I first got a Green Smoke starter pack and had it shipped from the US to here but I didn't like the lack of vapor. Then I got an eGo-T locally. Loved it. After a week, got another eGo-T (in Blue) to match a new Blue Ming tip I got.
After reading a lot in this forum and our local one, I finally ordered and got a ProVari. Wow! But after using the ProVari (had it 4 days now), I'm not thinking of ordering the new PrecisePlus from SuperT...

Savings? What savings? LOL. But at least I can vape the whole day guilt free ;-)

I noticed people here have huge collections and tried many different types of PVs. Seems kind of hard to think people are actually saving buying these compared to cigs.

I have a feeling this will become an addictive hobby that I'll spend more money on than cigs :p

I'm not saving money but what I am doing is SAVING MY HEALTH which has no price tag attached.

Compared to my smoking habit my vaping habit is bout 3 - 4 times cheaper than my smokes, initial starter kit I got was a little less than what I'd normally pay in a week, and then take in to account trial and error on flavors and upgrades and I've broke even for 3 weeks now that I've gone to diy e juice and have gotten my setup the way I want it it should drop in price

You certainly can save a lot of money with vaping, if that is your goal. For most people here, the goal is to enjoy vaping as a sort of hobby by trying lots of devices and juices.

For me, vaping is a means to an end -- to quit nicotine altogether. I've been analog-free for 4 weeks, and have recorded every penny I've spent on vaping supplies, and compared that to $8.50 a day for cigs. So far, I'm in the hole by about $100 (spent $350 on vaping, used to spend $250/month on cigs).

BUT, all that early spending was a lot of trial and error. I wasted over $100 on a gas station model and replacement cartos, wasted over $50 on juice I can't stand (Johnson Creek, I'm looking in your direction), etc. I'm now happy with my setup (2 eGo batts, 2 Riva batts, 15 LR cartos, 50 ML RY4 juice). I have no desire to mess around with mods, try every juice out there, etc.

I'll need more juice in a few weeks and new cartos eventually, but I'm tracking all of this and my break-even date is 11/7/11. After that, $60 a month on juice and cartos means I'm saving almost $200 a month over smoking.

You want to save money? And vape? Just starting out?

Get a $23 ego 650 passthrough battery. You can vape while charging.
Get 10 510 style cartos $15
Get 5 small bottles of juice $25

You have the equivalent of 2 cartons of analogs for the price of 2 cartons of analogs, and you now own the hardware.

You don't have to spend an arm and a leg.

Well..it depends on how you make it.. I know people spending much more than analogs in buying lots of gear, liquids..etc. personally I have only 4 batt, 6 Attys and 10 tanks. the first buy including the e-liquid for a month was 110 euros.. Now the rate in one month is like 40 euros... I used to spend 150 euros/month with analog plus all other concerns

For the most part I beleive I have. I've finally found the set up I like without too too much purchasing and experimenting. Used my first kit for 8 months before switching to something else. Smoking was a for sure, 2 carton a month purchase. $110 a month. Plus those fake firelogs $20 a week, so I could crouch by the fire in the winter and smoke inside. (not proud)
Now I just have to buy juices now and then and I'm pretty well stocked on cartos at the moment. I'm just not that hung up on the math when I know I'm not spending a regular hundred bucks a month by any means.
