How many tobacco smokers were influenced enough by your electronic cigarette use that they decided to try or even to convert to ecigs?

I've influenced alot of people. The problem isnt how many one influences, its how many actually convert. I find people are willing to try them, but their desire to stick with it is non existant. Unfortunate.
So far, I've only converted my wife. Oh, and my brother. He used an RN4075. Two weeks later he had quit using that and cigarettes.

I got two friends hooked on vaping. Both ordered ProVapes. Just wondering how long it will take before they order the ProVari.
10 influenced... 6 converted completely, 4 found it wasn't for them. My original 510 kit is used exclusivly to lend out to potential converts.
None. I am still not sure it's 100% safe, and I don't feel I have a moral right to influence others. What if 15-20 years from now they will find out it causes some serious lung illnesses? And I involved people in it... I would feel very bad. Many years ago, they said smoking was safe too, you know...
Vaping is my personal choice. I take my own risks. But I am not going to involve other people in something that nobody can say for sure is safe. If they find out on their own - fine. It will be their own choice.

It's only been two months, and I would say 14, so far. I know that at least 6 of those have quite analogues for a week or more. The remaining 8 have either seriously curtailed their smoking, or may have also quit for all I know. Every single one of them has been satisfied with the experience and I'd bet that a couple of the 14 are also spreading the love. So, this is a pyramid scheme, in a very good way.
Yea...ppl not converting is true. I find many ppl use the ecig to cut back on their smoking. It was tough for me to convert but I finally did it.
and given what I just said in regards to Vaping Pete's reply, I also agree with tami.
I doubt PV's are 100% safe. I'm sure there is some type of risk invovled.
My own personal experience that after converting to PV's my asthma is gone, my overall lung funtion has improved, my throat feels better (no smoker's cough/rattling phelgm, voice is clearer), sinuses are better and my heart rate is now at a healthy rate (before it was high). Although there is no way to guarentee safety, at least I can say that.
My instincts tell me PV's are not healthy, but I get the feeling it's less harmful than smoking.
Some people I know who are heavy smokers seemed influenced by just watching me use the PV and asking me about it.
So I guess I had some influence in their decision to try pv's, but ultimatley was their choice. So I wouldn't feel bad if 20 yrs later it was found to have some health issues.
It is also possible that it may take longer than 15-20 yrs to fairly determine health risks of ecigs, as some respitory illness could have been caused by the users tobacco habit (which can catch up them even years later). It would have to be statistics on those who only use ecigs and have not used tobacco products ever to be fair IMO
I converted 5 from cigarettes to pv's.
All 5 quit smoking.
All 5 have quit pv's and are not only Smoke Free but PV Free too.
I am the still vaping my head off. Go Figure

6 people so far but one of them converted almost every analog smoker at the sign shop he works at
I have influenced 2 friends, my step daughter and my husband. My step daughter still uses analogs occasionally, but the others have completely gone strictly e-cigs. from my step daughter, she has influenced her sister and brother in law
I have influenced 4 in a month and 2 have quit smoking, I think the other 2 will after awhile using the E-Cigs. the two that are still smoking are hard core so I understand that, for some it takes time but at least they spent the money to try them out.
So far 6 people are now vaping because of help. I kinda give each one a class on how to fill, maintance, juice, ect and it makes it earier for them to switch to vaping. They don't have that lost and overwhelmed feeling I had when I first started.
At least 10 to this point. Only a few hundred million to go................................
6. One of them went back to analogs, one quit vaping and stayed off analogs, 4 remain vapers at 6 months, also no stinkies. I try to let folks know how great it is, IF they wanna know.

Doubt anyone ever will be. Is there anything 100% safe? Dry cleaners' fluid. Car exhaust. Scented candles.
Morals are based on personal value systems. I feel I have a moral obligation to inform every smoker of the alternative.
Many smokers won't be here 15-20 years from now.
If I tied someone up, shoved an e-cig in their face and forced them to vape it, I would feel very bad. If I do not give someone the information based on my personal experience, and evidence to date that vaping is by far safer than smoking, I would see myself as irresponsible. ...just like letting someone walk in front of a speeding car that they don't see coming -- but I do.
"They" aren't the reason I started smoking. "They" aren't the reason I started vaping.
Absolutely! How wonderful that you were even able to learn about this alternative. There are a lot of "them" that don't want anyone to learn about e-cigs.
I understand. Nonetheless, I do hope that you are more than willing to share your personal experience with smokers.
Unless you're into assault and capture, it will be their own choice. Right?
