Wow! Glad to see it's not just me that wasn't lucky enough to get the VK as their first.

Got a super mini as my first PV,

then got a BE112 (like 801 pen style) - really liked it and if I didn't get a VK would happily kept on using it.

Got my VK yesterday and have already packed up all my other stuff...lol...

Very sad to see all the money I spent on the others that I could have spent on more supplies for my VK...

I love cartomizers! V4L carts are by far my favorite for multiple reasons.

Best Customer Service

Color Coded

Flavor on label

The batteries on the other hand are not my cup of tea. I purchased a V4l Ultimatum kit and then sold the kit to JENJEN after maybe two days of use. As far as stock batteries go, these are the best that you can get.

I just prefer battery mods. One Silver Bullet with two CR123a 900mah batteries last me all day at 6v using cartomizers. The Silver bullet with one 18650 3000mah last me up 3 days heavy vaping at 3.7v. I stick with 6v 80% of the time. Thats one thing the stock 808 batteries can't do and is why I don't use them. Even at 3.7v most battery mods produce far more consistency than stock 808's.

Now I know that the SB is a large mod and I don't feel like carrying it around all the time so I keep a smaller option. The Protege with a 3.7v 900mah 14500 battery. Very small and lasts all day off one battery.

Another good thing about battery mods is that the batteries last far longer and are far cheaper than stock batteries like the 808.

I can use 801, 901, 510, and kr808 atomizers on my battery mods. Not that I do though.

Currently own/owned:
m201
m401
m402
510
801
901
kr808
blu/volcano
SB
Prodigy
Protege
Vapre51/sold
VP2/sold
SD/sold
cybervex box mods

Here are pics of the two mods I just described.

SB - 2 pics

Very large battery mod. Sometimes I get thirsty and reach for my diet Pepsi can and accidentally pick up my SB :X

Protege - 1 pic with size comparison

Not much bigger than the standard 10sec cutoff manual batteries.

Although I seldom use 6v, I really enjoy using my SB at home and 'm planning on buying a Black Beauty (when it comes out) to use at my desk at work.

I just got my XL batteries yesterday, but I think they're going to be perfect for walking around.

I haven't touched my NCig or 510 since I discovered VK. If it won't work with a VK carto, I don't want it.

Started with a stock KR8008D-1 with auto batts, then made the move to V4L's manual batt and passthrough along with their cartomizers and ejuice.

Agree with earlier posts (and recommend it to anyone starting out) that this was the easiest model to get started with--charge battery, screw on carto and go. It was the most like an analog, although now that I'm 1 month+ into vaping, it's got it's own rituals and routines and it's nothing like an analog...for which I am extremely grateful!

Got a Little Chuck on order (just want to do 3.7v vaping) for the longer/more consistent battery life and for the free personalization of the PV. I ordered it with the 510 connector and got a 510 to KR808D adapter so I can use the carto's on it.

If you don't have one already make sure you get a 510 to kr808 adapter when you get your BB.

I'm waiting for the BB too.

Crinkle or smooth? :p

Mod + Carto is the way to go. what graphics did you decide to go with? I was thinking about getting one with a weave underlay.

I'm using a 510-901 adapter plus the VC 901-808 adapter on my SB. I just got a 510-808 adapter this week, but the draw is way too light for me.

Crinkle all the way!!!

weird, my experience was the exact opposite. The 510-901 + the VC 901-808 was like breathing normal air for me. the air hole was way too large. Had to add a piece of tape to keep the airflow under control. The 510-808 adapter hits just like my passthrough in terms of airflow. Maybe just a tad lighter.

I'm going with crinkle too! Finally something I don;t have to polish :DDD

Yea, I have tape on my VC adapter. The good thing is you can customize the draw by adjusting how much of the hole it covers. :)

I've never polished my SB. I just wipe if off every now and then. I didn't buy it for a look-purdy.

Too many VK batteries and carts, 901, 510, my sexy CHUCK on her way! :D 510 passthru and VK passthru oh and a MiniPipe.
MY VK passthru is my go to all the time, when I'm at work it's my little metallic green manual battery and my extra long pink manual in rotation, always in my pocket!
When my CHUCK comes I'll be using it with cartomizers 99% of the time :)

I love this thread/topic.

I haven't had many different e-cigs because I did months of research before purchasing. I started with the 901s only because I didn't learn about the VKs before buying, unfortunately. The 901s worked great but were too short lived, needed topping off too much, the batteries leaked horribly, and the paint started chipping off after a few weeks. Now I'm happy with my VK passthrough and manual battery. I haven't had it long enough to find out how long I can keep refilling my cartos... my primary concern with the VK is keeping the costs manageable so the more refills the better. There may be a mod in my future like the prodigy or the screwdriver because I hate quasi-disposable nature of most e-cig batteries, but for the time being I'm sticking with V4L's 808s.

I started with a smoking Everywhere type..I lucked out when we decided 2 puffs and a 5 minute wait for the next one didn't do the job, the lady gave us a full refund and let us keep the unused carts and juice!
We went to 901's which I still use.
I got a NicoStick..love it too! 7 hour batts are nice.
I have a VP1 which is nice and very pretty, but 2 hour AAA rechargeable batts are a pain! Wish I had tried the VP2. (AA batts)
Then Steve sent me a passthru..with Carts! Fell in love with the VK's. The manual VK passthru is my mainstay at the computer. I have the manual batts too.
I have a manual mini pipe for the fun of it.
But all my devices have adapters for the cartomizers or a 901 atty, the VP, the Pipe and the Nico! I am all about choices.
In the car I am never without my VK passthru..no dripping and driving for me!
What all this boils down to is that I am not smoking or snacking!:D
