How many times have you switched back to analogs?

Surprisingly its been pretty easy for me to get off of the analogs, but then again Its only been about 4-5 days or so. But I do agree with some of you that said that they constantly vape. I'm pretty much on this thing from morning to bed time. Hopefully I'll be able to get the consistency down to how I use to smoke analogs. Kinda of hard though since I enjoy vaping so much.

On 9/1/2010, I got my first ecig. I smoked two cigarettes after that, and on the second one I realized I would rather vape. And that was it for me. I have had those moments when I felt the strong urge for a cigarette, but I resisted. I smoked for 35 years with one ten year break. I hope I never smoke again.

I smoked for 18 years and near the end, was smoking close to 2 packs a day. 2 months into vaping and I still have an analog in the morning when I wake up, any other time of the day and they taste horrible. I've tried quitting the morning one a few times but it hasn't worked yet. I made it a few days analog free but then had a meltdown at work and decided to stick with the morning cig. It's only 1 a day, I can't figure out how to get rid of it though.

I got rid of my AM cig by delaying. first I made myself wait 10 minutes (while vaping), then 30 min., then an hour. pretty soon it was 1 in the afternoon before I had my first cig. just in case that helps!

i've been vaping for 6 days but i was mostly smokless (skoal) user. had a $5.50 new can on the table untouched for 5 days even carried in my pocket with no urge. took a pinch or 2 today and did'nt miss it a bit. thought about giving it away but think i'll just trash it. i opened a thread on dipping, wondering if anyone has had any luck but did'nt get many replies. proud to say think its gonna work for me.

Yeah I found that the morning vape is the most important. That's why I grab my highest rated nicotine juice and start the day off with that. Usually the first 10-15 vapes, then I can switch to 11 or 18

I had my last Marlboro No. 27 on Tuesday night. My eGo-T came Wednesday around noon and I honestly haven't even thought about analogs since then. For me this is a complete, 100% replacement. I miss nothing about it.

Good or you, your doing great. If you're on this forum a lot grab a signature that tells you how long its been. Keeps me even more motivated to get off those nasties

Tried dipping a couple of times when I was still in the service. It was totally too much for me(nic level wise). I'm glad your doing so well. Do you use I high nicotine dose?

You can do it dude. I smoked hand rolled for 37 years. I started vaping just over six months ago. Since then I have not taken a single drag of an analog nor do I want one. If you keep wanting analogs that just means you haven't yet found the perfect vaping device and liquid for you so keep looking. When you find 'the one' smoking will just become irrelevant.

AND IT'S GREAT !!!

I smoked for 45 years, and discovered vaping a couple of years ago. It didn't work for me then, because the equipment was lousy. So I went back to analogs. I came back to ECF about a year ago, after the eGo had been introduced (among others), and haven't had an analog since. Vaping equipment is still very much in an evolutionary state, but it's getting better. Just don't give up, and plow through the frustrating times that WILL come. ECF is a great resource, and full of very supportive people who "have been there."

been vapeing for just shy of 9 mo. About 1 mo. into it I lit a cig took one drag and couldn't even inhale it and thought I was going to puke. It took me over an hour to get the smell off me. That pretty much cured me of the "nasties". I had been a 45+ yr smoker 1.5 pad. For me vapeing has worked 100% and I have even been able to go nic free. The one thing I think most new vapers fall pray to is the "what if" syndrome(I know I did)due mainly to the fact we can't believe it this easy and it works. I kept waiting for the hammer to drop and it never did. I say if you slip, look at it as a learning curve not a failure. Get back up and try again and keep your eye on the prize. No vapeing police here............

I quit almost 3 months ago, and since that time, I think I've smoked 15 analogues. When I first started, I didn't quite keep myself prepared for a cart dying or a battery dying on me, so I was at a football game when my only cart failed. I had to go to the store and pick up a pack of analogues to hold me over until I got home. The good thing about doing that is that I didn't feel guilty at ALL about smoking an analogue, because I knew I could go right back to the e-cig.

Since that game, I've smoked three just to satisfy the craving I had to hold a real cig. Thankfully that has passed and I haven't smoked an analogue in a month. Never again.

I've been essentially analog-free since late February.

However, I'd made my every-three-weeks run up to the county immediately north to pick up six cartons of cigarettes before I stopped at the post office to retrieve my Riva starter kit. The tax differential made the trek worthwhile.

Big mistake, though I didn't know it at the time. I still have two cartons plus two packs left from that ciggie run up north, and today is October 24th. So, doing the math, I'm going through a pack of analogs every six-plus days. Before, I was smoking three packs per day. Big difference.

But, I invested in those analogs, so by gum, I'm going to smoke them! I do have to remind myself to smoke three or so per day, though. Some days I forget. When they're gone, they're gone, and I won't miss them.

Bear in mind, I'm one of those rare people who actually enjoys the smell and taste of cigarettes.

I smoke cigarettes when I drink booze. Smoking aint what bothers me..but how much..I think moderation aint so bad..But I was smoking 1-2 packs a day on ave..So i do smoke every now and then 'but tend not to smoke the entire cig..about 2/3rd' Anyway id say on ave I smoke 1 pack a week now. Much better then the 2 packs I was smoking a day!
