I start low and work my way up...... generally I build to run at a specific wattage.. question for me is what combination of wire do I use to get a good vape at desired wattage... only time I Even consider ohm is when building for mech or at extremes of mod output.

Best experience is hands on my friend. Im no expert but ive been building for 4 years or so. We all started somewhere.

Just keep tinkering and watch your ohms and amps. There is no wrong answer to "how a vape is". Its a personal preference as long as youre using your equipment safely and within its boundaries.

If you fire a device too hot you just get a chance to go in and fix it. Viscious circle right?
Happy building man!

I was initially asking because pre-built coils come
with specific ranges (50-70W, et cetera).

This has all been so useful, though.
That's because they have very poor wicking. It's very easy to run them dry.

With RDAs, RTAs, and RDTAs you have unlimited juice flow so you can vape at any wattage you like.
I vape even small builds at very high wattage and I have never had a dry hit.
Well unless some goober decide my atty needed JFC and it ended up closed in the middle of the night.

Suggested range... not specific. Sometimes that's a optimal range sometime mechanical safe range and sometime it just numbers sometime it the amount of watts you need to feed.
