I can't believe you all are spending that much? Hmmm... I just bought my KGO plus extra liquids and cartomizers for $65 including shipping from DarkCityVapors and now I'm wondering if I'm going to be spending a lot more, or if I should have bought more liquids and accessories. I only smoke about half a pack a day, but I've been smoking for 15 years. I gues we'll find out soon enough. I should be getting my package by the end of this week.

In my first month I spent around $800, but you have to keep in mind i ordered a starter kit extra batteries, sampler cartos, backup cartos, tanks 6ml and 3ml, clearomizers, and tons of juice. If my hubby doesn't quit smoking and take up vaping completely, you could say this well last me quite a while maybe even up to a year or longer as he only vapes around me to save me from the stink..lol.

Hmmm... I was prompted to post a reply to this thread after posting a pic of the setup I've built since I started vaping 8 weeks ago. I have to admit it has been about $400 give or take. That is more than I would have spent choking on analogs but at least $120 of that was a rip off mall bought kit. But I still say it is well worth it!! Here's the pic i posted under the other thread

I'm also a tad stunned at how much some of you are spending to get started :( There really are so many excellent options out there to get you up & running for £50.00 maximum.

I have to admit I did go over board a bit on mine but I wanted to ensure I spent enough to stick with it and had equipment I would like using. As well as backups so if anything broke or battery died I wouldn't be going oh crap!..lol. Plus I definitely didn't want to run out of juice and had no idea how much I would use.

This is what i have to date for juices and equipment,

I even bought several back up tanks once i realized how much I like them :)

I did go a little overboard. I bought enough stuff though that I will be set for a long while ( hopefully ). I just figured it would be a good idea to try a few diff things at first and see what I liked and what would be worth ordering again. The only problem i have had with that so far is everything that i have bought has worked and i like it. :p

That's good!!!!! I have about 40 little bottles of stuff I don't really like. If you really like what you are using and it all works for you, you did great!!!!!!!

First three weeks or so I spent probably around 80 bucks with cigarette style batteries (808Ds) and pre-filled cartos. Batteries died quickly for me one way or another. Buttons would break, batteries wouldn't hold a charge, some hit weaker and stronger than others, and some had major adjustment issues for making contacts with the cartos. By then I was getting aggravated with how undependable those were, at least for me. I know others that have used them for a couple years with little to no aggravation, but for some reason they just weren't working for me.

It felt like I was spending more time just getting them to work than it was worth, so I read around a little to find something more reliable. Plonked down the money to switch over to a Provari and haven't looked back. Obviously, that raised the bar a bit..say about to 300 with juices, accessories and various new devices I could use to end the first month total.

Like others say, though, "totally worth it"!

These purchases got us immediately off of analogs:
$64.58 first day on a Joye 510 starter kit, some juice, and cartridges
$51.94 second day for identical stuff for the wife - got a repeat buyer discount

Within a week I got tired of declining performance of cartridges and purchased 510 tank setups and a PCC
A week afterwards, got tired of changing out batteries and bought VEC tank kits....still thrilled about this purchase.

Since then, I've been busy stocking up on backup hardware and vaping supplies. Now have backups for my backups and months worth of stock. A little less but I'm rounding it off to $475 total expenditures to date. That's roughly what I would have spent on analogs for me and the wife over the same period.

For me at the beginning I spent a ton of money.
I kept moving up the chain. I'd buy a E-Cig and not be happy with it.
Than I moved to the more expensive stuff. Bought a Prodigy paid the bucks and it didn't
last very long lot's of problem.

The flood of money stopped when I finally bought a GGTS from Golden Greek and it lasted about a year before it was dirty and not working well. The beauty of it was that I sold the unit, as is for $58.00 to a guy who re-furbished it and was very happy (After receiving it) . so I even got 1/3 of my investment back!!

Than I bought my latest the Provari, that I've had for 11 months and still looks perfect and works like a champ.

Just started DIY and invested about $100.00 into flavorings and base. But that's going to save me a lot of money in the future. About 1/4 the cost of the premium American E-Liquids that I've been buying and the stuff I've been making tastes better!!
