I was updating my spending spreadsheet and decided I'll check in with my fellow vapers. Here's my breakdown since I started on the 20th of July 2010:

Total Spent on E Cigs (Hardware & juice) ---- $1,385.15
Days without Cigs ---- 295
Total Savings ---- $1,269.85
Days till I break even ---- -141
Date I broke even ---- 20-Dec-10

Hardware List:

Description ---- Retired
650 mah eGo - Qty. 4 ---- 1
510 USB Passthrough - Qty. 1 ---- 0
900 mah eGo battery - Qty. 4 ---- 0
650 mah eGo Passthrough - Qty. 2 ---- 0
3000 mah eGo - Qty. 2 ---- 1
Royal Smoker CE2-R4 Cartos - Qty. 30 ---- 12
510 SR Atomizers - Qty. 25 ---- 21
Trustfire PCB Batteries - Qty. 2 ---- 1
Omega - Qty. 1 ---- 0
Bridgeless Atomizers (GreenHouseOne) - Qty. 10 ---- 10
Warranty Replacement LR 510 Atomizers (GH1) - Qty. 5 ---- 5
Cisco LR 510 (1.5) Atomizers - Qty. 5 ---- 4
Cisco LR 510 (1.8) Atomizers - Qty. 5 ---- 0
Cisco LR 306 (1.8) Atomizers - Qty. 10 ---- 0
Joye 306 (1.5) Atomizers - Qty. 2 ---- 0
IKV LR 510 (2.0) Atomizers - Qty. 10 ---- 3
REO Grand - Qty. 1 ---- 0

IF I ever figure out why I am killing so many attys on my Omega, it would help to bring the high rate of atty consumption down drastically as I have killed just a couple attys on my eGo's and none on my Reo.

So, how is everyone else doing?

If you smoked a pack a day of regular $10 a pack cigarettes, you would have spent about $3000. you've saved enough even after your vaping spending for an all inclusive trip to Aruba. Pretty impressive. I havent kept track of my vaping expenditures since I started March 3, 2011 but I do know Ive saved a bit. I find I have more money then I think I have.

BTW nice meeting you lasstnight Dusty

I've spent $600 since I started on March 9th 2011. It will probably be another 3-4 months until I break even, but I also have more than enough supplies to last me until then I figure. I smoked about 2-3 packs a week.

I just have to fight the urge to get new toys and juices :) Glad to see I'm not the only one who takes a while to break even :p

Oh hey, where the heck did you get a 3000 maH ego battery? :O

Well it's early in the game for me, so I haven't spent that much, although I don't tend to go crazy with spending either. I'm just looking for something that works well, which I was lucky to find right off the bat, IMO anyway. So far, ego-t kit, i ordered an extra atty with my last order to go with it, I might order a second starter kit just to store away and have for when the batteries from the original one run out.

I'm not using them that much though, swap out and charge them every couple of days, so if they are good for 300 charges each like they say, well that's 1200 days in theory, so I don't expect that I'll need new ones for a few years, but what the hell. As for the blank cartridges, I've gone through a couple in the 2 1/2 weeks I've been vaping, the first one I threw away because I was getting juice in my mouth and didn't know what to do, and with the second one that was starting to happen every few hours and I got tired of cleaning it.

Juice wise, I've used about 10 ml in 2 1/2 weeks, so as you can see I don't vape that heavy, although I still smoke which explains that. I have the odd toot between analogs and it works real well for me being able to go a lot longer between them, which used to be the time it took to light up another one :) By the way you feel like crap chain smoking and I feel much better now smoking more modestly :)

So not a lot of money already, I think a lot of people just end up trying a bunch of stuff out it seems and you can obviously spend a lot that way and have a whole deskful of hardware, and then use a pic of that as your avatar, which is cool but expensive :D

I might buy the bloog mini PCC kit at some point just to try it out, among other things I'm wondering about how good it is to have the juice sit in some kind of stuffing, you can't tell how much is in there, as opposed to just looking at the carts now, among other things. I'm totally satisfied with what I have now though which is a good place to start.

I'm probably a few hundred bucks in the hole still, compared with my banner's stated savings. New stuff keeps coming out and I just gotta try it... got a box of Leo cartos here I have to figure out how to fill, and wood's recommendation of the Bloog has me considering trying one out now.... too much stuff!

$800 in three weeks.

If I could find a juice I LOVE that I could vape all day, I'd be happy. The ones I do love are too strong for all day, they kill my taste buds. The ones I kinda like that I think I could vape all day are just a "hint" too weak in the flavor and I keep thinking I could find something just a little more satisfying.

atleast at the end of the day when we go to sleep, we can look and see we have stuff to show for the money we spent. Its not gone up in smoke in an ashtray somewhere. I like the fact when I buy something and after awhile if I dont want it I can sell it, you cant do that with cigarette butts lol

An even more important fact: 6405 cigarettes avoided to date.

Hey Dusty, you taking a picture of somone taking a picture of you taking a picture of them taking a picture of you taking a picture of them? lol Its like the endless mirror trick.

Yeah thats most important stat cigarettes avoided isnt it. I figure out Ive spent about $350 on PV's, attys, and accessories and about $200 on juice, plus a large amount on DIY in 2 months.

Last time I checked, I had spent just short of $700 since the first week of March. But I might have bought a few little things since then. I'm at about $900 now, but I've avoided 1800 analogs at $5/pack. I'm still $450 in the red, but now I've got the equipment and juices that work for me, and aside from some juice refills and cartos, I'm set for the next few months.
