I ran across this site after seeing an e-cig at the mall. I did spend a few days reading, then made the plunge and then ordered the dse901-b from a supplier on this board. I guess my package is caught in the Christmas rush but I am hoping to see it soon. I am highly motivated to quit smoking and hope this to be a replacement for my regular smokes. I am worried after reading more that I didn’t order enough supplies. I am smoking a pack and a half a day right now.

My starter kit has one atomizer, any ideas on about how long it will last? One month, three months, any rule of thumb?

I have two batteries coming, but it looks like they will need recharged every day. About how long can I expect a battery to last?

I ordered extra carts and a small bottle (10-ml?) of smoke juice but I now think I will need 20 or 30 ml a month, I simply don’t know.

I realize everyone is different, but can I get some opinions as to about how long the different supplies will last?
Thanks

welcome ohioguy -

i was a pack and half smoker as well. my kit came with 2 atomizers and 3 batts but I'm still only on the first atomizer. I should probably be switching back and forth between the two but this ones a champ so far.

i thought two batteries would work fine for me but i'm glad i recieved three. i would suggest picking up another one but as you said, this all depends on usage. i'm using one batt while one charges in the usb and the other in the regular wall charger.

for now, i would suggest trying it for a couple of days and if you're sure you like vaping and want to stick with it, then put in an order for more juice, and extra parts.

With regard to how long your juice will last, this will depend on whether you dilute it with glycerine or not. If you do the advantages are that you'll get more vapour and will be able to control your nic consumption more precisely. The disadvantage will be that the flavour will also be diluted. If your 10 ml of smoke juice is 36mg then you can add an equal amount of glycerine for 18mg juice. This should last you twice as long as 10 ml (10 ml will last many vapers 5 - 7 days, but you need to see how you get on with it). Whatever - enjoy!

Ohio guy - If I were you, I'd wait until you get that kit and see what you think. After a couple of days, if you think you can use it to quit, I'd order another full kit from puresmoker.com. I've found that to be the cheapest way to get extra supplies on hand, including another charger. I want a spare atomizer and charger and a couple of spare batteries before I take the plunge and say a total good-bye to the regular cigs. Mine should arrive tomorrow, so it's time.

I'm 3 weeks into it now, an my atomizer is fine so far. My batteries still seem to be holding a full charge. I'm probably going through about a ml per day but also smoking two or three cigarettes, sometimes four. I was smoking about a pack and a half a day of full flavor cigs.

Just take it a step at a time and don't pressure yourself to walk away from smoking cigarettes the first day. That's my opinion on it.

As for me, I've been buying smokes at a Native American place, much cheaper than regular stores around here ($27 per carton) and the way I calculate it, I'll be saving quite a bit of money, even if I need to keep buying batteries and atomizers. I'm going to start diluting 36 mg juice to make it work out well financially.

Hello,

I would reccomend you buy another starter kit from Katy at thesmokelessshop.com She has a couple of different versions of the DSE 901b. You will never have enough batteries or atomizers, lol, depending on how heavy a smoker you are. I use the DSE 901b exclusively and have no further need of analog cigs. A bottle of 30ml of juice last me about 1-2 weeks. I try to keep plenty on hand as well as extra carts to refill. Plus when you get another starter kit, you will also get another charger. Batteries should last 1-2 hrs. depending on use. I use mine as a pacifier, lol. Try not to overheat your atomizer, it should last for 2-3 months with some luck. I take 5 batteries and 3 atomizers to work with me everyday. Hope this helps you along, and good luck. It's good to see a fellow buckeye on here. BTW, Katy is located in Mich. And is a real sweetheart to deal with.
