how much menthol do you use for your juice?

I'd like to know what a "typical" menthol percentage is. I like to think in terms of grams of menthol crystal per certain ml of juice, as opposed to some sort of flavor solution first, as that can be confusing.

Currently, I use 0.5 gram of menthol crystal per 10 ml of juice. It leaves a bitter aftertaste. Am I using too much menthol? But then again, it really isn't that cool.

How much do you guys use? or how much do you think vendors use? thanks

the cool effect is more from koo'ada generally.
i like a icey cool menthol. I mix one half teaspoon of crushed menthol crytals to 10 mls pg. THis will make a repeatable menthol flavoring.

MY adv is 7% menthol and 10% koolada. I call it ice 5

After thinking on it a little yes, your menthol level is too high and causing the bitterness. MY flavoring recipe is 1 gram to 10 mls as a flavoring and your using 1/2 gram in 10 mls of juice.

Definitely too high! It really is easier to either put the menthol crystals in solution (PG or PGA) to make a 10% solution and go from there, usually 1 drop per ml.

I mix the Menthol Crystals per instructions:

TIP: To dissolve, fill a container half way with VG or PG, then the other half with menthol crystals. Shake until dissolved. Heating the VG or PG first will speed up the process. Try starting out at 5% in your recipe of that solution that you made.

If you want cool use Koolada but GO EASY. I don't "like" menthol, so I use Koolada by itself, and it freezes my lungs if I go too heavy. Think 1 drop per ml almost killed me, had to reduce to 1 drop per 5 ml.
