Well, i don't know how many chemical compounds are in cigarette smoke, the only thing i know for sure that since i use the electric cig i'm not coughing out my lungs every morning and i can climb up to the third floor without breaks. That's the main goal of vaping.
Yet, good to know the amount of nicotine consumed, so i can controll it.

Git ready to have your mind blown! There are 599 additives in cigarettes. They've been approved by FDA. This list is coming up on being 20 years old, so it's far from current:
List of additives in cigarettes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So, now we have a list of published additives. But it doesn't stop there! Oh hell no! The paper is treated too! it doesn't just come off a tree and get mashed with water to get that nice pristine white colour. Filters? Yep, them too. Phoo, thank goodness it's over...or is it?

When a cigarette gets heated/burnt, reactions occur! They combine, break down, and become a whole new slew of chemicals! It's like a little chemical factory in your hand! Over 4000 new and improved compounds are created when it cooks. Awesome!

Needless to say, there's a LOT more in a cigarette than untreated paper, pure cotton, and tobacco.
