3 or 4 bucks a pack back in '06. roughly 8 for premiums now. being a 1.5~ PAD smoker makes that pretty dang spendy. Washington has it rough, but not nearly as bad as NY...

I paid $2 for packs of illegally imported Marlboros or Benson & Hedges out of Tijuana in the mid '90s from a video rental place called El Mexicano (that also sold underage kids pron) when I was 15 or 16...paid around $6.50 for my last pack of Marlboro lights (they call them "golds" now) 100s about 3 weeks ago...
In 1979, $4.68 a Carton for Marlboro reds at a gas station in Southern California.
In 2013, $5.68 a pack for Marlboro 27s at AM/PM in Southern California.
It's been 75 days since I started vaping. I've had 12 analogs.
I avoided 1863 analogs.
Currently I've spent $391 more on e-cigs than I have saved on analog cigarettes. I do have some very nice toys and a "Mr. Wizard" like chemistry set of DIY E-juice supplies.

My first pack was free. The tobacco distributor gave me (13 years old) and my brother (11 years old) sample packs when we stopped in at the gas station to buy some pop while he was there. They were five cigarette sampler packs.

Way back in the day, when you had to fight off Mammoths and Sabre-Tooth Tigers on your way to the Smoke-Shop, probably a quarter a pack..or..less... Of course that was back in the 50's when $5 and hour was a big wage for many folk...

we bought them out of a machine for .50 back in the late 60's. We got ice cream and cigs. The machine was outside in a little wooden shack next to the parking lot. We walked in those days... or rode our bikes.
Used to pay 25 pence for 5 cigs from the local sweet shop, back when anyone could buy them.

back in the last 50's...they were .37 a pack and when you bought them from a machine, there were 3 pennies slid down the side of the pack in side the celephane......it was awesome.....my parents always gave me the 3-pennies....then a few years later I started...and they had gone to .50 and I was ticked they were that expensive....but then my gas was .30 a gallon then too !!!!!!!!!!!

I used to get a pack of 5 analogs within a box of old style sea rations when I was in the Military and they were free .. and if memory serves, a normal pack of Luckies was 25 cents back then ..
i grew up in the Glasgow area of Scotland, we could buy single cigarettes for six pennies and the cheapest pack was either 5 woodbine or 5 senior service at a cost of around two shillings,the last pack i bought was 24 royals at £8.30 from a gas station

$0.27 a pack when I was a kid. Last I paid for a pack of smokes was $4.85 Then I switched to backwoods smokes. I paid like $44. for a box of them. Individually, I think they are like $6.00 for a pack of five cigars.
