How much was your first pack of analogs

In 1982, I bought them for 5 pesetas a piece in Spain. I didn't want my parents to find a pack in my pockets.

Maybe 5.50 for a pack of Marlboro reds? They're about 6 something now. I started smoking maybe 5 years ago but it feels longer.

Still have 5 cigs left in my last ( crossing my fingers! ) pack.

$2.50 a pack when I started, $37 for a lb of tobacco and 250 tubes when I quit or $4.87 a pack when I was in a hurry or too lazy to roll.

When I started smoking, I would get them wherever I could find them, so they were free. When I started buying them, they were $0.90/pack for any of the Marlboro varieties. The last packs that I bought (after I stopped buying them by the carton) were upwards of $7.00/pack.

When I started buying them by the carton, they were $8.50-$9.00/carton. When I stopped buying them by the carton, they were almost $60.00. Yeesh...

On a side note, my wife and I went to NYC last year, and I was absolutely shocked to see that a carton of Marlboro reds (my smoke of choice) was over $100 in the East Village.

First pack was free. Pack of Camel non-filtered I found on the side of the road when I was 8. First pack I bought was around .70 or so.
