How often do rivas and egos fail?

I've used Riva 750's, Ego 650-900's and KGo's. I have gotten 3 to 8 months service from the Riv/Ego's and I feel that is justifiable for the price. I've been using the KGo for a little over 4 months.

I have 5 genuine Joye batteries that have all been going strong since February (2 650s, 2 1,000's, 1 passthrough). I haven't had a problem one with any of them. I bought them from CigNot. I think that a lot of the problems people speak of are with clones, even thought some of the clones are pretty good.

My last living battery seems to be firing way below spec now. I don't have a volt meter on hand, but everything I run through it has a super weak taste, even in a brand new carto. I'm guessing this means it's on the last leg too. KGOs can't come fast enough now...
