Hard for you also......Don't you just hate the smell and the mess?
I don't mind him, he smokes outside and cleans up after himself!
I think the cravings would be less if I didn't smell it on him!

He tried vaping for 5 days and gave up. I told him he was using the wrong device. I have all these great devices and he won't try them. So yeah, it's difficult! Especially since he smokes menthols (what I used to smoke). I was SO close to having one last night! I'm very glad I didn't!
Setting an example can be very powerful especially when he finally sees the physical difference in your health compared to when you smoked.

Hang in there Chels. Hubby was right there with me when we first found vaping. It worked for me but after a little while he went back to mostly smoking. Now after 5 years he is getting serious about vaping. He has only smoked half a dozen or so smokes the last couple of days. He says he is not going to buy any more. I have my fingers crossed for him.

It took only 2 weeks of vaping for me to go totally off ALL of my COPD meds!

I was really surprised last night when I had an intense craving for a cig. It's been over 7 months that I've been vaping and I thought I was out of the woods. Am I alone here having these cravings so long after I've quit the stinkies?
How long have you been vaping and how often do you still crave cigs?
It took me about a year-18 months.

Ive only had two cigarettes since May 2013.

I can say for myself first off that I'm just shy a month of being a year cigarette free which is absolutely amazing to me. Being a long time smoker for over 30 years I'm not sure if I'm craving a cigarette or the actual act of smoking. Whichever it is I find when I do have those "cravings" I pick up my tobacco ejuice that is higher nicotine than my ADV's and it passes quickly.
That's the trick an extra Atty with higher nicotine for the times YOU REALLY GOTTA HAVE a cigarette

I was glad I didn't dilute all my 18mg to 12 mg . That helped last night. Still, I was surprised by the intense craving!

Me too! But is has to be fresh. I don't like the smell of someone after they've had a cig! Husband, I'm talking about you! [emoji38] oh yeah, he's not on this forum
I wrinkle my nose everyday when my husband comes home from work and gives me a kiss.

When stepping down especially for the first hell even second time, it is good to keep some of the higher nic juice on hand for those special occasions

After 45 years PAD+, now almost 1.5 years analog free, I still get the urge quite often. 1st thing in the morning, after meals & while having a few drinks, not that I would have one. I keep a tank of 12mg unflavored around and that does the trick... :D

The cure for me was a few drops of 36 mg WTA.
The Whole Tobacco Alkaloid (WTA) helps some with cravings.
It might be good to have some on hand.
I, too, sometimes feel like a cig, even after 5 years of vaping. I resist and just go hide out and power vape for a while. I really felt like i could never ever quit cigs, so, I do not care if I get a little light headed by power vaping. Power vaping for me is every other breath is a vape. All-in-all it works for me. Good luck and vape on.

Sounds like I need to try this WTA!

Frankly, i can't remember what a cigarette tasted like, what the hit felt like. Can't remember if i MTLed or not.

What is weird, i dream about smoking, scary how cigs intertwine around your Psyche..

Vaping for over seven years. There were several times in the first 6 months or so when I absent-mindedly started looking for my lighter or smokes. But, it was purely a reflex kind of thing and not accompanied by any actual craving. After smoking for 35 years the habit was probably as strong, or stronger, than the addiction. I believe that's why vaping was so successful.

So, that accounts for the first half year of my vaping experience. In the 6.6 years that have followed, I have had zero cravings. And zero incidents of absent-mindedly thinking about lighting up. Seriously.
