How often do you encounter other vapers?

I never see any vapers in public, but I live in CA, where seeing analog smokers in public isn't very common either.

If more e-cigs are seen in movies, that'll really help boost popularity. So far, I've only seen Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright smoking e-cigs on House of Cards after sex. After a few puffs, they both put down their e-cigs and picked up analogs.

I rarely see them (and they me). I consider this a good thing 'cause the ANTZ .......s are on the hunt for us. They can't legislate what they never see. :) I suppose it's because we're so used to being ostracized from our tobacco days it just comes natural to be stealthy about it.

We need a secret handshake or something.

I see vapers all the time, they are mostly between 50-70. I hardly ever see vapers that are younger 20-40, which is weird because I would have figured it would have been the opposite way around.

The only vapers I see between 20-40 are usually hanging out in vape shops.

us older 45+ year old vapers are vaping because we kicked our bodies for so long that our bodies are now kicking back

Yeah, I saw that. That was awesome. They were in one episode of Criminal Minds too.

I actually don't get out much. It's fair to say however, that 1/4 of my local retail shopping involves visiting local vapor B&M shops in the north suburbs of Denver, CO. Those shops are busy with newbie and veteran vapors both. But that's really the only time I see folks vaping. When I was still using cigalikes (late 2013), I saw 1 person using a cigalike in a dive bar. Where are all the folks I see at the vape shops? No idea!

I was in Gatlinburg a few weeks ago and there were quite a few ppl openly vaping. My wife made an interesting observation, she said that she wanted to vape the whole time we were walking around but she didn't want to offend anyone, she said that was such a strange thought because she never cared when she smoked cigarettes. There were also, and unfortunately, a ton of stinky smokers freely smoking. We would crinkle our noses every time we passed thru a cloud of smoke. Then we would smile and try to guess the flavor when walking thru a cloud of vapor.

This post was found in an ancient ruin, possibly left by aliens.

I see a few vapers walking down the street here in Seattle on occasion but not often. I'm like yay! That dudes vaping! when I see someone. I only have one friend that vapes. I work in a hospital, where I spend far too much of my time, and NO ONE vapes there, or acknowledges that they do anyways.

I see em every once in a while, but I try to keep mine fairly hidden, and if im at a restaurant or other recreational place, I only use it at the smoking areas. kinda feel like its disrespectful to use it around people, especially since SO many people are getting spoonfed bad information about ecigs. even when I do see people using them in public they usually are trying to flaunt it or something. I seen a kid outside of the movie theatre a while back with an ego constantly puffing on it and looking around at people to see if they were watching or were interested. im all for letting the public get used to them, but this kid was obviously just trying to get some attention. now looking back, I kinda wished I would have pulled out my mech, stood near him and started blowing giant smoke :) feel like I would have hurt his ego (not his mod) though lol
