I have a Nautilus Mini and was wondering how often do you need to clean the tank and do you really have to clean the tank when switching flavors? Currently when I switch flavors I rinse the tank but do not rinse the bottom since I only have one tank and probably could not get through the drying time without a vape!

All suggestions are welcome!

Thank you vaping Community!

Hi daoliv, and welcome to ECF!
You don't technically NEED to clean the tank before every fill as long as you are refilling with the same flavor. You also don't have to clean the tank before changing flavors, but if you don't want the flavor to "Carry-Over" then at least rinse the tank. There will still be carry-over when using the same head.
I clean my wife's tanks inside and out with a brush and hot water at least once a week or after 5-6 fills, just to keep them working smoothly, and change the heads once the vapor production diminishes or begins to taste sooty.
Ideally, you should have a couple tanks with plenty of replacement heads... the first rule of vaping is "Have back-ups for your back-ups!" This way, you can have a few tanks each loaded with different flavors.

I haven't needed to rinse the bottom out myself, I check it when I change coils, maybe twist a piece of paper towel and rub it around in there to see if any juice has migrated down.

The top I don't bother rinsing every fill, even if I'm changing flavors. Usually a good rinse at coil change, the well gets swabbed out with the same paper towel method when I refill the tank, the drip tip I wash off when refilling.

That's my method anyway, I like my Nautilus Mini, I bought a second one to have a backup. Always helps to have a backup.

Happy Vaping and welcome aboard David.

I personally will rinse and dry my tank every 3-4 refills, but I also use tobacco flavors the get really thick and dark If I don't. If I change flavor I rinse the tank and base and change heads.. its really personal preference though. If you don't mind a little carry over with you flavors then it might not be worth the effort to rinse it often. Should still rinse the tank sometimes to keep the seals clean and working.
