How often do you *really* like it? (your e juice)

So as a fairly new vaper, one thing I have noticed about myself is that I find myself on an e juice ride. On this ride, I look into juices, do my research or find something that sounds good. Order a small bottle (like 10ml), shake and steep for a bit, and then start the vaping. If I don't like them, back on the shelf they go to steep longer, maybe I will like them better when they grow up :p

So it got me wondering for the more experiences vapers out there. When you all try out flavors, ultimately, what percentage of those favors would you order again? To me it is seeming like kind of a small number...a flavor may be "ok" but unless I really look forward to vaping it, I won't order again. So far I am thinking my group of really-likes is probably around 20-30% of flavors tried. Does that seem high? Low? What has your experience been?

So far I have only come across a couple of juices that I just didn't care for at all (they are also steeping on the off chance that later they will be better). Of the others I've tried, I would probably re-order most of them. But I still haven't stopped looking for "the one" yet and am still trying various vendors who I see recommended here, as well as juices that other people seem to love.

Good question. I'm pretty new to juices and was kinda' wondering the same thing. I just got a couple small bottles from a shop I just found here yesterday. The guy mixed them fresh so I'm sure they'll need some "alone time", but I had to try them out just to see. The pinacolada was not too impressive the first day, but much better today. The black cherry I just tried today but has a bit of a chemical taste. Hoping that one will get better. Whether I go back there for more juice depends on how these taste after a few more days.

I think I'm following the same trend, maybe in the 20-25% range. I vape Alien Vision Havana Gold and Boba's Bounty every day so order a fair amount of that. I have been vaping Hangsen/Dekang Desert Ship every day as well but now starting to make that myself in my new DIY adventure which has been great. Other than those there really are only a few others I have bought a second time (Lucky Pear by Namberjuice and Morning Dew by The Vial). That doesn't mean I don't have others I won't also purchase again but haven't had the need to as of yet.

I've got some I really like. I do find though the same thing, there are a lot that I don't like. Maybe I'm just too picky. I can't say there have been much I have hated, but they just didn't do much for me. Luckily there are plenty of shops here and I can try before I buy. Of some that I do like though I stick with them. I did get a watermelon once that had really no flavor. I was still new and didn't know about steeping. Ended up giving it away. Wonder if it'd been better after a few weeks. I took the first pull the other day on ordering online and am really hoping not to be disappointed. But the juices I did order I ordered smaller bottles. If I like them I'll order more, if not I'm not out a ton of money.

It is hard to find a good juice at first, in part because taste buds change the less you smoke. My first 3 months of quitting cigs were a nightmare because I was searching for the magical...and my taste buds were changing like crazy. Keep buying the small vials until you find something you like. Experimentation is good. Don't be afraid to try something you don't think you will like; I hated the idea of fruity or sweet vape juice at first, now it is all I vape. It is good to keep the ones you "hate," because you might find that you love them later on.

Part of the fun of vaping can be trying different flavors, vendors, etc. Some juices WILL be crap, that is just the nature of this game. Keep reading the forums, especially the E-Liquid section, and keep trying reputable vendors. Vape on!

There's really just one that I must have, all the time, an excellent Virginia from MyFreedomSmokes. Also I love cinnamon redhot, but I don't like it too sweet, so have to keep trying new ones to find the perfect one. I like spicy/fruit flavors, as my initial journey past tobacco flavor, but many of those I've ordered were just so bland, they smelled pretty good but no taste, so they're steeping, hoping they'll start tasting more the way they smell. The only one I've bought that I don't think I'll ever try again is Halo's Turkish, it just made me feel ill after a couple hours of vaping it. I just got Halo's Belgian Cocoa today, and it has more flavor out of the mailbox than this one called Geneva by ccvapes has after 3 wks of steeping. Hako's peppermint, Kringle's Curse, I have kind of a love/hate relationship with; it's good to refresh your palate, but it's not sweet at all, and that gets icky if I vape it for very long.

I mix Kringle's Curse with some less than perfect chocolates I have (chocolate flavors seem to be really difficult to do well) and it makes them yummy enough to vape.

I'd say that avg is normal. Mine is roughly the same, maybe a little lower. Like stated previously, it gets much easier once you find a couple ADV's. I was lucky with my first online purchase to find a great ADV, that made it much easier. I've bought a lot of juice other's love, only to be disappointed it wasn't to my liking. There's a lot of really good juice out there, finding it is part of the journey. Good luck!

I'm open to different flavors except tobacco. Pretty much though, I'm a happy camper with the variety of juice I have. For a while my tongue was bad and that sucked. Couldn't taste anything.

Ordered three bottles from a big and popular vendor. Loved the flavors but I noticed that my chest felt tight, when I vaped their juice. Kind of sad about that. I put them away to try again, down the road.

Now, my brother stoped by with a tank filled with pumpkin spice from a local b+m. I thought I would gag! It's very dark and smelled so nasty. He loves it! Go figure:blink:

Glad to hear I am not alone in my percentage liked. I feel a little disjointed ordering so many juices that just don't work. Glad it is not abnormal. Currently, I consistently vape both Candy Cane from Vape Dudes and Mint Candy from Nola, both are excellent mint vapes for me, I need some sweetness. Nola's Georgia Peach, Bryce's Vanilla Custard, and Blueberry Cream and Blue Honey by the Vape Dudes. I have been searching for the perfect Cinnamon and I actually found it in my White Cloud Flings. I absolutely love that cinnamon! I think my next quest is to find some sort of sweet juice to blend with the spearmint and peppermint I got before I realized I needed that sweetness. If anyone has any ideas.....

The best tip I can give is to look into making you own. Find a few flavor concentrates based on your current likes, some nic, and some vg base and see what you come up with.

I spent alot of unneeded money on juice that i ended up disliking. So, I found some diy flavorings that I thought I might like, mixed some low ratio starters and worked up from there. No 'fully assembled' juices ive ever bought were ever perfect for me, they always needed to be sweeter or have more of a certain flavor. Mixing my own fixed that, now im happy with my juice because i make it.

Check our GoodProphets.com - Your view into the world of vaping... and their 'perfumers apprentice' flavorings. The flavors are $4 for 30ml, nic is reasonable, and its like $6 for 120ml of vg base. For between 20 and 30 dollars you can yield over 100mg of juice, depending on your tastes. There are juice mixing calculators and alot of mixing info online, ready to be utilized.

Dont be afraid to mix flavors either, I vape a mix of hazelnut and ry4 that is better than anything ive ever bought.

Actually my plan is to mix some of the Belgian Cocoa with some of the Kringle's Curse; I tried their Shamrock, and thought the chocolate was good, but the mint was weak -- there's nothing weak about Kringle!

I mixed 2/3 Kringle with 1/3 some of the really sweet cinnamon redhot, and it's so weird, it tastes like Doublemint gum! I think that might be my palate-cleansing vape for a while, getting kinda tired of the non-sweet Kringle by itself. When I get some of the cinnamon redhot that isn't so sweet, I might mix up some 50/50 with Kringle and see how that is.

I spend a bit of time researching juice b4 I buy it and I'll tell you what I've learned :
I don't pay over 50 cents /ml and I don't buy juice that I have to steep.
Anything from Nicoticket, will be great, promise.
Strix, Zeus, ahlusion, hard to find bad flavors from them.
If you don't want to waste money on crappy juice buy from them, nicoticket For sure. And read up in the juice forum.
Good luck.

I jumped into making my own after about a month, but occasionally buy some from my local shop I really like as a treat. I had a trial and error period with some really bad errors early on. Now thanks to advice I have gotten here, I have fine tuned my recipe and make it in large batches. I have a reaction to PG I never knew about before vaping, so I use 100% VG in my juice. If you are dissatisfied with the juice from the vendors, I would definitely give DIY a try. It is also much much cheaper, and you know what is going into it.
