I got a starter kit full of pipettes and syringes and cups and stuff and have found I really enjoy using the syringe with the 14g blunt needle to measure. How often do you replace stuff like this?

I clean mine with hot water after every use and replace them when they wear out or the calibration numbers wear off. they are so cheap and last a long time
Clear nail polish, shellac, poly coats for Cal. numbers. The only thing that can wear,is the rubber slide stopper/pusher. It won't draw without air bubbles appearing (one syringe exhibited this trait so far). Wash after every use,air dry and should last till the rubber hardens through natural loss of soften chemicals. The majority of mine are still good after 20 to 40 rounds of mixing.

I used to change out these kind of tools any time they encounter flavorings that refuse to leave. I now have a few flavorings that have their own dedicated needles so I don't have to change them out often.
Can clean it with warm water and dip the plunger in VG for storage. This makes them last a bit longer. You can dip the plunger in vg just before use to improve the glide. When it's difficult to get an accurate measurement because the plunger sticks and dipping in VG no linger works that's when it's time to replace it.
