58 as of 7-25-20013.
smoked 38 years.
switched to ecigs(v2's,dont laugh)7-24-2013.
in less than 1 week i've noticed a real improvement in my mobility concerning my legs.
mysterious rashes are disapearing.
i got my 10 speed out again and am riding it.
due to health problems concerning my heart starting about 2 years ago i am
very surprised at the difference there is.
heart beat not as irregular,no coughing fits.(this is related to water retention also)

i hve a enlarged heart.evidently i went into congestive heart failure after a long
bout with the flu a couple af years ago.
i started to retain water.(gonads the size of volley balls i kid you not)
not having insurence i went to the local clinic.
they freaked and wanted to send me to the hostpital asap.intensive care.
well you cant sqeeze blood out of a turnip so.
bootom line.
i'm on 2 meds for high blood pressure.
plaxim as a blood thiner.(added after my heart went wacko)
1 for water retention,etc.
evidently smoke does'nt play well with my meds,or visa versa.

please tell all your older friends with medical conditions to try ecigs
for 1 week.
it could change there lives.
regards
mike

I started smoking at 14, back when my friend's dad used to let him and me finish the remainder of his cigars. Coolest dad ever! I was smoking heavily by the time I joined the Marines at 18 (that three months of boot suuuuuuuuucked). Then I got married and actually quit for two years... until the marriage turned sour. I was back up to two packs a day by the time the divorce was finallized by the gloriously overrated state of Arizona. I was 23 then, and I just finally left analogs behind for good about three months ago. I started vaping 36mg, and I'm down to a very respectable 12mg now.

smoked 35 years with 3 years off (stopped twice for a year and a half each)

I smoked 2 PAD (or more) for over 30 years until June 2012. In April 2012, I had a heart attack and had a stent put in. Then I was told I would also need a 4x bypass, which I had in August 2012. I made the switch to vaping in June 2012 and have not had an analog since. I knew I wanted to quit before the bypass because I knew the recovery would be a lot easier if I did, lung and breathing-wise. I had been making my own cigs for about 8 or so years, so I gathered up all my tobacco, MYO machines, tubes and other paraphernalia and gave it all away. Now analog-free for over 13 months and counting. I feel great and my lungs are clear. My Vamo tastes better anyway. JD
