smoked for 4-5 years at 1.5-2 packs per day.
"quit" for about 4 years.
smoked socially until a year and a half ago when i quit all other vices, and i took it up again.
been vaping for a 6-8 weeks now.
still mess with analogs here and there (mostly band practice- my e-cigs are sound activated so i can't bring them in with me), but less than a pack a week, and i rarely buy them.
when finally order my EGO, i plan to be smoke free for life.

60 years old. Smoked analogs for 31 years. Quit for 8 years. Started again in a casino at 59 years old and smoked for another year. Been vaping for 5 weeks tomorrow without an analog during that time. I feel great and breathing better since I haven't been smoking. I see no reason to go back to analogs.
I have a friend who's smoking history has been littered with multiple-year-long stretches of not smoking. It's like he'd smoke for three or four years at a time, then quit for the next several, then start back up.

Having never successfully quit cigarettes myself, (until e-cigs), I've never been able to understand how or why somebody would go back to smoking after a prolonged time of being off the cigs.

Good for you for getting back off the analogs so fast, though!
