Burning question here..Are the majority of Ejuices made in professional, quality controlled labs like products you would find in a grocery/drug store or made by mom and pop shops in their basement? I'm new to vaping but the juices I have bought don't look like professional products at all (no ingredients/labels/etc other than what the flavor is). What goes into the PG/VG mixture to give it say..a tobacco flavor/vanilla flavor/peach flavor? How safe do you think the typical ejuice you buy off the internet really is and where is it typically made and by who?

For the most part I purchased Manufacturer e-liquids or from highly recommended sights.......after researching them. Now I'm not so sure. All my e-liquids come off a dining room table. MINE:D

Well im quite offended by alot of these comments quite frankly. I mix all my liquids in a bathroom reminiscent of the one on the first Saw movie. Wouldnt vape anything made any other way. Thats just how I role.....

Well unless you are then storing it in a bottle dug up from the ground in Chernobyl, you are still not "hard core". :D

I couldn't read all the replies but the ones I've read so far seemed to slam into the OP like no one should think like this. Even to being told to quit the habit when he clearly said he was new to vaping.
Every product we buy comes with labels of what's actually in it yet with ejuices we should just ignore those non existant labels and vape on.
So my question, why aren't ejuices labeled like everything else we buy?

They kind of are: PG, VG, Nicotine, Natural and Artificial flavors.

Your point is valid, some of the responses have been less than kind. On the other hand, many of the responses have been completely valid, you know to a general extent what is in your liquid, but we have no idea how safe it is long term. Even if the specific flavorings were listed, you'd be no closer to truly knowing if it is safe.

There are some companies that list their ingredients on their website and only list the VG/PG ratio and the flavor on the bottles where others don't really say whats in their juice at all. I wont vape juice from a company that wont say what's in their stuff and i definitely wont buy directly from china. Because of this i am a DIY'er and make my juice at my kitchen table.

One respondent says everything comes from china anyway but IDK if that is entirely true. I do know that i order my ingredients from american companies, supporting our companies and feeling pretty good about that. I'm not sure if they get all their ingredients locally or from over seas but i'm not policing every part of the companies i get my ingredients from. I trust myfreedomsmokes.com for quality and integrity in the products they sell. They list the ingredients and if you want to know what others think of each product then read the customer ratings.
I did personal research on the common ingredients in juices and only mix my recipes with VG/PG, flavoring, and Sucralose. Everything is food grade and my flavorings are TFA, Lorann, and Watkins. Everything but the nicotine base is available at the grocery store. This means that if you want to make your own 0 nic juice you can get it all at Walmart or any grocery for that matter. I still buy premix juice every once in a while but thats by choice and experimentation but i make sure i know whats in the juice i'm buying.
I realized some time when i first started vaping that i had no clue what was in the disposable ecigs i was vaping and one of the cheapo brands smelled more like ammonia and really stunk. Just because a product is in professional looking packaging and has a name brand label doesn't make it a safer product. If that is the case i would have to wonder which cigarette brand has a safer product? Is a winston cigarette safer and better then 305's just because the package looks better?

The tips on my bottles are very small and i mix a heavy VG juice. So i was drilling out the tips to get better flow. I have been thinking about using it with a small diameter rod for stirring juices as an experiment but i haven't tried it yet. I'll update my post if it speeds up the steeping process.

If its something that bothers you order from the people who list each ingredient. Its not to tough there are several. Im not to concerned each time you here about something on the news something is screwed up or made with bad or contaminated ingredients they listed the continence on the label. Its a false since of security.

Most bottle tips are removable. See if you can pop one off. I'm also using max VG in my projects and that stuff can be a chore to get through those little tips.

Truth is truth is truth.

There is a definite possibility that some flavorings will eventually be found to not be so kind to the human who inhales them.

Until such time as that data surfaces and becomes known (if such is found to be the case), vapers of flavored e-juice are sort of rolling the dice of luck and risk.

For the very cautious, I suppose vaping unflavored would be the least likely to be problematic.

Lol. I know that, but it can make a mess when trying to do a quick fill on the CE type tanks. Making the dropper tip larger to about .040" is about equal to the opening in the soft tip type bottles. Now it takes seconds to fill a tank with no mess.
