how to add fluval to ego?

There are tons of videos on youtube on how to do this. Go to youtube and search "fluval cart restuff"
Here's what I do for the Mega XL carts, if you are using the smaller carts you will have to fine tune a bit. Also which juice thickness you are using will come into play. I use 100% PG juices that are thin.
Cut a piece of Fluval 1" X 1" X 1/2" thick. Roll the flat piece into a tube with the fibers of the Fluval running the length of the tube. Fill the cartridge about 1/4 full with juice and insert the tube into the cart, finish filling by dropping liquid onto the top of the filler. Gently push the wet material to the sides of the cartridge to plaster it to the walls to prevent leaks.
To get the 1/2" thickness separate the material into layers using your fingers to pull material apart.
Fluval water polishing pad is the right material, rinse it off with tap water and allow to dry before starting.
If it leaks you don't have enough material, make a fatter tube. If it doesn't wick you have too much material cut down the length a bit.
