The usual carTo claning method is boiling them for 5-10 minutes a few times and then letting them dry overnight for those carTos that have polyfil inside them.

For clearos and other CE2-like carTos that only have wicks that go into a mini tank, just run them under hot water for a little while to wash the wicks, dry burn them to remove all the gunkly buildup, wash the wicks off again and let dry. (or dry burn again to dry them quickly)

Detailed step-by-step video tutorials are just one YouTube search away.

That said, I don't clean my cartomizers anymore. I did try at the beginning, but they are never the same afterwards. I love a fresh carto. They are disposable, after all, and were not designed to be cleaned, washed, boiled and dried... That's just my opinion... A good carto is only capable of processing anywhere from 6 to 10 ml of ejuice, a little more or less depending on the juice used. Dark, sweet, thick juices gunk up the coil and the filler much faster than the clear ones do. YMMV.

If you want to refresh a carto, vape a tankful of unflavored or 100% PG or VG or mix--that will help dissolve some of the gunk accumulated on the coil, but really, just toss them when the draw gets tight and the flavor and vapor production begin to diminish.

FYI: I've had MUCH more luck using Everclear to clean my cartos than the boiling method. Boiling seems to kill the lower voltage batteries like Bloogs and kill off about hlaf of my Boges. Everclear seems to clean what cartos are savable.... and the rest go to be recycled. My hubby is going to use all of them someday on a crazy piece of artwork. I have about 60+ now in the "DEAD BAG", so I'm off to a good start!
