You read the title right... multimeters can be purchased for less than a quarter!

Step 1) find the nearest Harbor Freight
Step 2) download a 20% off coupon from various online coupon sites
Step 3) download a "free 7 funtion multimeter with any purchase" coupon

- these are 'standing' coupons that don't expire for quite some time.... The cashier I had let me use both of them at the same time for the one item I purchased-

Step 4) locate the bin of razor knives near the front of the store with a large price tag of "29 cents"
Step 5) use the two coupons to buy the razor and get the multimeter AND a razor for 24 cents....

You're welcome

Be very aware that those meters can be incorrect with low, specific builds. They only read to .1ohm. So, say you're going for a .25 build, the meter will only show .2 or .3 depending on its mood. Always check the lead resistance, as well. Enjoy!

Yeah, my cheap Harbor Freight meter never measured less than 0.5 ohms touching the leads together, which seems unusually high even for a cheap meter. And fluctuated an insane amount; not so good for even 1+ohm resistances.

But it's perfectly good for measuring voltage, which is all I use it for.
