Hi Everyone,

I've just joined this forum.
I'm very new to the area of "Charging 18650 batteries." I'm hoping someone can help me on this subject.

If I had 1x 5V/5A Ph Charger or Power Supply connected to just 1x PT4056 Module, but had all 5x PT4056 Modules wired in Parallel,

Q.1. Would each PT4056 Module get 1A or 5A each?

Q.2. If say 3x PT4056 Modules fully charge the 18650 batteries, will the remaining 2x 18650 batteries get 2.5A each? (1/2 of the 5A ea)

Q.3. If say 4x 18650's are fully charged, will the remaining 1x 18650 battery get the full 5A?

Please help me to understand what happens. Thank you :)

Hi Ianikiwi & welcome
Sorry I can't help you with your question as my knowledge on electrics and electronics is not much, however I do wonder about you asking some very basic questions in relation to hooking up charging circuits. Warnings relating to the proper charging of these batteries are plentiful and rife with the promise of fires and explosions for not doing so properly. Are you sure you know what you are doing, as opposed to say purchasing an intelligent 4 bay charger for less than $30?

Welcome and glad you joined. I would not use the PT4056 modules for one reason. If you are asking, you should not trust anyone's well meaning answer. You could be in dangerous territory here.

I believe you got a good response from knowledgeable people where you asked it b4. TP4056 based lithium ion battery charger module I've not come across anyone building chargers here. Like mods, they are cheaper and easier to get pre built. Yeah, you might be able to make a better one , but these batteries are quite dangerous if you get it wrong. GL

This, buy a efest luc4 or another 4 bay. If you have to ask about it, I don't think it's safe to make it, I'm not saying you couldn't but strongly advise not to. This sounds like a mooch question. He tests all the batteries and has vast knowledge of electrical endeavors.
