Yeah, the knob is probably removable. Most of them are. Set screw, maybe? I'm concerned the knob might have been installed on the shaft before the assembly went into the case, thus trapping the skirt. If so, it will not be removable without disassembly. Another option for cleaning would be to dip one end of a q-tip in alcohol and scrub it, then wipe dry with the other end; repeating until you can't get any more funk off of it. Alcohol is good at dissolving gunked-up juice. A minute or so under a hair dryer will make sure it is completely dry before use.

Fold a paper towel over until it's snug as it slides under the button, and then pull it back and forth as you work your way around the button. If needed, dampen the paper towel with a bit of rubbing alcohol.

A paper towel is more sturdy and won't tear as easily as a tissue.
That's exactly what I was going to recommend! You stole my idea haha
