The tank should be tossed. Tank cracker flavors have a chemical reaction and that leach the BPA out of poly tanks. Once the leaching causes all sorts of nasty outcomes like clouding, etching, deterioration etc. With any signs of leaching I would consider it a lost cause.

I thought Innokin claimed to do something to their plastic to prevent this? Maybe it only protects against citrus?

Ive never heard this one, there is nothing to be done, poly tanks react on a chemical level with ingredients in citrus, colas, cinnamon, anise etc.

This is what they say about the iClear30s: "PC fire-proof material tank, will not crack when used with special juices". It's a pretty vague claim though, and I've never trusted it. If 'special' means 'non-tank-cracking', it's not saying anything at all!

I'd say it's gone - the hazing isn't on the surface, it's in the surface :(

You could still use it for a while, but now the surface is porous you won't ever be able to clean it properly (regarding flavour / hygiene).

Yup thats why I used this known tank cracker on innokin but it simply was worthless, :D

I use a Cinnamon flavor with my iClear30s and have no hazing or issues at all. I filled it then let is set for over a week and it is just fine.

Some bakery cinnamon's are OK in plastic tanks - there are only a few cinnamon roll flavors that will crack, mostly it is candy cinnamon- think red hots. I used Deadly Sin, as an example, in lots of plastic and it was fine- but it doesnt have the chemical in it to react with the BPA in the tank. A lot of cinnamon flavors do have it, but some dont.

I agree! That is why I filled my tank and let it just set. I know that this tank will only be able to be used again with this flavor though. No matter how well it is cleaned it will always have a hint of cinnamon left behind.
