Materials on vaper's site will never be a proof for non-vapers (especially anti-vapers).

Sounds like a cry for help to become educated on the subject, you should politley seize the opprotunity to reduce ignorance.
Perhaps because ignorant people can and do make it into politics and pass restrictive legislation based on that ignorance. The more people who are actually educated on the subject, the easier it is for all of us.
Pretty much every form letter I have seen from politicians when people send them letters or e-mails about vaping says we just don't know and there aren't enough studies...
The thread died out after she backed down a bit. She never did answer me when I asked if she really felt people should smoke over vaping.

That is closed minded ignorance hard at work which is exactly what we're teying to prevent.
I wouldn't say she was a RL friend, but I'm very careful where I wade in on touchy subjects, mostly because I'm somewhat of a public figure in my home town, and one that works with children at that. I don't need to jeopardize my career because I said too much on FB, yk?
Vaping is sissy smoking. Either quit smoking or smoke real cigarettes. Ideally, don't hipster vape near me outside of Starbucks while I am literally reading about teaching patients about risk factors for chronic lung disease and lung cancer. I do not understand vaping AT ALL.

Telling someone who relies on peer reviewed studies to make decisions on things vaping is safe just because won't change anyone's mind...

So what is your suggestion then? Your whole attitude on the subject appears to be rather defeatist.
Sounds like someone skipped past Communication 101 - straight to lecturing teaching patients about things they seemingly have little to no interest in; besides parroting textbooks.
I just don't care if someone tells me vaping is bad. I don't do anything. Why should I? I don't earn a living selling vaping products. It's not my job to convince people...
"Sissy" smoking? I'd rather be a "sissy" than a stinking, coughing, hacking, yarking cancer patient!
