How to get rid of burnt taste

I have a dual coil clearomizer (Coil on top) and I woke up this morning getting nasty, burnt hits.
I emptied the tank, and soaked it in hot water and dry burned it, till both the coils turned red. It taste bearable now, but lung hits are giving me an urge to vomit. Any better way I can get rid of this taste?

Sounds like a disposable-level clearomizer, but an rda I really burned bad I washed out and it still stank, so I let it air out until the stink went away. Maybe that might apply. Also any water residue will add its own taste.

I do rewick (and recoil) Protank type coil units, if dry burning need be careful not to damage the rubber with overheating. Generally the wick is trash so replace with good cotton.

New clearomizer or if the coil can be changed put in a new one.

Can you turn the power down on the battery? If so, do that too. Cheers.

I can replace the coil, so it isn't disposable, but thank you for the advice, ill have to try it out.

I have it down to the lowest (3.3v), I know my best bet is to buy a new coil, but it's going to be a while till I can go out (quite a distance) and do that

Personally I found every dual coil I tried was crap. Just my experience.
Simple single coil set-ups always worked best. For me. YMMV.

What kind of tank is it? Sounds like it's just wore out I am sure the cotton is burnt which there is coming back from unless you can re wick it. I always have a few spares for my tanks.
