Help needed: I just got the SI X2 battery. Works great, but it looks slicker with the cone. Problem: I'd like to dig a hole to get better air flow. How is it done? I tried hammer a hole using a nail, but it was not very successful: I made a hole, but the cartos wouldn't pass through the cone because it was dented inside. Anyway, I need help!

P.S.: note that I don't have any special tool (nor skills, obviously...)

I used a Dremel Tool Portable Model that I got at Lowes for $20 and the 1/16 drill bit that came with it. I bought the tool to trim the dogs nails, it comes with an assortment of bits including grinding and sanding wheels. Battery powered with charger. Best $20 I ever spent, it gets used for all kinds of small projects and it's quiet so it doesn't scare the pup.

Do you need the hole cause your mouth covers the end? That is my issue and why I quit using them. To me this would be unnecessary if they would make the cone just a little shorter, there is enough gap on the end for good airflow.

When I was using Cartos I got the XL SS which are longer and match my chrome X-2s but I found the cone restricted air flow to the bottom of the carto so I drilled 4 holes right above where the threads end on the inside of the cone and it made a big difference. I haven't used a carto in over a month since I tried the clearomizers but I have a bunch of them I will most likely use to build my own tanks, they make great atomizers for home made tanks.
