So I've learned how to make fruit flavors fairly well. A dash of lemon, hint of menthol and bam it's pretty darn good. But when it comes to food I'm pretty lost. I've added some white chocolate FW, cinnamon FW, regular chocolate from LA.

I'm gonna try peanut butter from LA. And maybe some vanilla from FA. But I dunno, id really appreciate some help with these food flavors. I know diyers don't like giving away their secrets buts little hint would be awesome. Thanks guys for whatever input you can give. vape on!

im trying to make a strawberry waffle and whipped cream flavor. Ive had it from vapor bomb and im trying to re create it and make it better. But I fear my waffle and whipped cream flavoring is sub par. Its from flavor west. Im gonna have to make another order from TFA soon and maybe capellas as I keep hearing more and more about them.

Thanks for the tip. Ive never used Ethyl Maltol even though I have some in my drawer and didnt really know what to do with it. That stuff doesnt go bad right? I've had it for about a year now, kept away from light and stored at room tempt.

We are, indeed, 138.

What exactly is it that your DIY is missing? Flavor intensity? Sweetness? Something else?

To me, Flavor West's concentrates always seemed to be on the weak side. They taste fine, but I have to use much more Flavor West concentrate compared to TFA or LorAnn.

Is your EM in crystal form or diluted in PG/VG? If it's still crystals, it'll be fine. If it's diluted in PG/VG, just give it a sniff or taste to make sure nothing funky is going on with it.

Its in crystal form. it just doesnt fill the mouth right I guess. Hard to put a finger on it. Seems like the strawberry is just overpowering the whipped cream and waffle even though ive tried toning down the strawberry to half of what it was.

this is the closest ive come:

in a 10 ml batch

1ml straw berry LA
0.6 ml whipped cream FW
0.4 ml waffle FW
2-3 drops of sweetener FW
1 drop of cinnamon FW
1 drop of white chocolate FW

Strawberry, by nature, is a much more potent flavor than whipped cream. It will easily overpower a subtle flavor like whipped cream.

Add some Ethyl Maltol. I dilute 10% crystals in 90% PG/VG. It'll take a while to dissolve, a hot water bath will speed up the dilution process. Ethyl Maltol gives a moister, creamier mouthfeel. One to two drops per 2mL.

Okay I tried again last night with some EM and wow was it better. I only used two drops for a 10 ml batch. But I'm gonna have to try adding more like you said and see what happens.

Why have I not used this before!? Haha
