I posted this question in the e-liquid review but I think this is where I should have posted it...anyway, I am desperate...
I have been trying to clone the flavor of State Express flavor using Lorann and Capella flavoring. So far the e-juice with the best flavor I have found is TW's, but since I have about 1000ml of 60mg unflavored, I need a concentrated flavor to mix up without the flavor being diluted. I like a strong nutty flavor. I find by the time I get the Lorann's Peanut Butter and TW's tobacco mixed with a strong enough PB flavor, it starts to taste like chemical. Has anyone tried to duplicate this flavor and been successful? If not who makes the best, most potent State Express flavor? I got some extra strength from MyFreedomSmokes which was good but Chris can no longer sell it extra strength. (He does have great English Toffee to which is my second fix).I find Capella's flavor not quite right IMHO. Please, one of you mixologist out there find me a cure...I am addicted!

I would love to hear what is in the 555/State Express as I have found huge variances in the taste. I like mine sweet and spicy (for lack of better terms) but some 555's I've found are dry and taste a lot like R4Y... which doesn't appeal to me. I'm hoping to find the basic ingreedients so I can "sweeten" up some 30ML bottles that are otherwise going into the Armageddon reserves....

I have some Snickerdoodle (Snickers candy bar) from Happy Vaper. It is very concentrated - 1 drop per 3ml. I think that would make something very much like 555. I'm going to have to go try that :)

Not a bad idea angel, that might have the element in it that seems to be missing and I cant put a finger on it.

On the other hand, I have looked at Dawns 555 but it states that it is not a concentrate, and in order to buy it when you click the button it adds the options whether you want it or not. I asked her about it on another thread but she didnt answer my question so I dont know. It says it can be Mixed or Vaped As Is, so to me thats saying its just like a 0mg juice instead of a flavoring concentrate. Have to check it out some more I guess. Thanks angel.

Max...How did you know I was making hard candy today? That website is going to come in handy. That is exactly what I am looking for too...a strong peanut flavor without the sweetness in my 555. Thanks for the info.

Mosin...good luck finding whats in 555. It seems like you need to be part of the underground mob to get it let alone find the ingredients. I have Googled it to death and cant even find a manufacturer or supplier of the concentrate. Good thing I dont want to start a business selling it. Maybe we dont want to know... 8-o

In the supplier forum I asked her "what percentage would she suggest for a single-strength flavor" and the answer was very unclear.

Rather than express it as a percentage she replied in regards to using X amount of her flavor with Y amount of unflavored juice to end up with Z. Or something. As I said it was very unclear and I didn't follow up. It's pretty straight-forward to express measurements as a percentage...

Root around through my previous posts and you'll find my question and the subsequent answer. It shouldn't be to far back as I don't post often. If you can make heads or tails from her answer PLEASE post your interpretion!

On a side note: I just tried 5 of Flavourart's tobacco flavors from Happy Vaper and I'm blown away! 1-2% and you are there. Lots of variations possible with their flavors. I am now joining you on the quest to nail (or even come close!) to a great 555 clone. Gotta pick up some nutty-type flavors to blend with the tobacco and we'll see. If I have any luck at all I'll post my results.

For a price :D

Just kidding! If I hit I'll post!

Ahem...

Yes it is the same .,,, But I had it made in double Zero Flavoring VG... and PG..
So one is VG
one is PG

Double flavor 555 Smooth, 0mg, in PG and VG versions.

And One is double flavored 48mg ,,,VG and one PG

Double flavor 555 Smooth, 48mg, in PG and VG versions.

Trying to cover all bases,.,

and what you are trying to do is perfect so treat the flavoring as a O part..
so take 48mg add 0 = 48 divide by 2.. = 24mg

Mix: 50% 48mg and 50% 0mg to yield 24mg.

(that would be correct for nic strength, but if I understood it correctly it would still be double strength flavor)

On a side note: I just tried 5 of Flavourart's tobacco flavors from Happy Vaper and I'm blown away! 1-2% and you are there.

I'm extremely interested in Flavourart tobacco flavors and am looking for a bold tobacco taste, similar to a pipe tobacco. Which one(s) would you recommend?

You might be vaping too much- seems you have a frog in your throat ;-)

I've got it now. I just find percentages seem to be easier. Her stuff isn't a concentrate so I'm not interested.

You might like Dark Vapure blended with some Latakia. 1-2% is plenty for my tastebuds. You could go 3% but it gets darn strong at or above 3. Pretty darn bold flavor. I'm still working with it but i'm shooting for a dark shag rather than pipe. I'm going to order their Perique and see how that goes.

If by "pipe" flavore you mean something like a vanilla Cavendish you'll find that Seedman's Captain Black nails Captain Black pipe tobacco at around 20%. It is quite dilute comprared to Flavourart so if you need high-nic like I do you're gonna need some heavy-duty unflavored to get there.

Enjoy!

When I checked DIYFlavorshack awhile back she was selling 3ml bottles of tobacco flavoring for around $3 or $4, I assumed it was a concentrate, but wasn't sure so I emailed her, she told me it was 50/50. I was looking for something a little more economical so I moved on.

Yep. I came to the same conclusion. Look at Falvourart from HappyVaper. 1 drop per 5-6ml and you're there at a good price. Their stuff is strong and pretty darn tasty too! 3ml for a few bucks goes a LONG way!

Yeah I figured it out already...been determined to do this myself from day one, If this stuff works, and I think it will, with a little help from a few other ingredients I ordered, I'll definitely be smokin' on the cheap :D

Ribbet.

Thanks for the advice. I've been waiting, waiting, waiting for Liberty Flights US to get stocked with FlavourArt flavorings. Guess I'll just throw patience out the window and order from Happy Vaper in Canada.

Dark shag would be good too. I used to stuff my own cigs with European style tobaccos such as Dutch Halfzware. The darker stuff made a good afterdinner smoke. Definite head rush, even with a filter!

Same here! Drum, Bali Shag, Stokkeye's stuff... I better quit thinking about it or I'm gonna want a smoke. (I still sneak one now and then but it has to be real tobacco as listed above. No American factory cigs- they taste horrible. I'm only good for about 5 drags of anything before I have lie down now!)

I ordered from Happy Vaper about 2 weeks ago and it took 7 days from shipping to my door. I'm in Michigan. Not bad considering the holiday shipping crush. I'd say go for it!

I'm going to order the rest of their flavors this weekend and I imagine I'll have them right after the new year. I've been mixing and testing all week and you can't ever tell I've used any by looking at the bottles. One or two drops ber 5ml is, as they say, a mere drop in the bucket.

I just remembered some homebrew juice i made from some Drum tobacco; Gonna have to work that into my tests as well. That might be just what I need to add a hearty undernote to some of my blends.

And to get back on topic: I tried a wee bit of English Toffee with some Latakia in hopes of getting a hint of 555/SE. Not even close but pretty darn yummy nonetheless!

Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
