I seem to make a mess trying to wet the filter. Put about 2 drops on (still doesn't make vapor??) and the drops don't seem to aborb in. There's excessive liquid on the atomizer after refilling. Any suggestions?[/QUOTE
In my case ..I went to blue foam, so much easier then what comes in the carts, and delivers juice well. Cut the foam lengthwise half the width more, put liquid in empty cart, with tweezers squash foam and insert in the half filled empty cart, then top off with a little more. This seems to work fine with all of my carts.

Basically, remove the wicking (dry, if necessary, with paper towel first, then 'fluff' it a little), snip in half, then trim one end to a point. Set aside.

Fill the empty cartridge almost to the top with juice, replace the wicking pointy end first, lightly tap down maybe 1/16 inch.

You'll find you won't be topping off as often, and when you do, be sure to add slowly (and not to the point that the juice pools on the wicking).

Sounds to me like your atomizer might be flooded. Take the atomizer off the battery, and remove the cartridge. Put the atomizer battery-end to your lips, and blow really hard into a paper towel, until no more fluid comes out. Put the whole thing back together, and try it again.

The way you describe the cart, sounds like it's fully saturated. If the e-cig still is not producing vapor, then either the atty is flooded (does it make a wet, gurgling sound when you draw on it?), or the atty is blown (dead).

This:

I'm sorry I've just bought e-cig (Smoke Free is brand) and don't understand. The cartridge is part that you puff on right? That's the part that has the wicking in it in my model. Anyway, it has a hole in it for the vapor to come out so don't understand how I could fill it without wick in there?

Ecigs generally come in 3 parts. Battery connects via threaded end to atomizer; cartridge fits into or over atomizer on the other end. The filler material in the cart holds your juice. There's nothing really holding that filler in place; you can just pull it out with tweezers if you want. You're a noob, so don't try modding a cart just yet... if there's liquid on the end of the cart (like, the filler looks wet), then you've got enough juice to vape.

Did blowing out the atomizer help?

There's an area here, the ECF library... check out the 6-part series, Wonderful World of Vaping. Best intro I know of. That'll have tips on how to refill cartridges, plus all the basics you'll need to get started on the right foot.

Super mini's, which we seem to be talking about here often have the "a frame" atty's that you slip a cartrige over. Siad cart is simply a piece of plastic with a large pin hole, then filler (foam, fluval, etc..) then the space you need to leave open for the atty to fit into. basically a glorified analog filter with a very small space for filler and liquid compared to other models.

That said, I use one and am delighted with it. Fantastic vapor, rivals larger models, east to refill but, you do need a miniscule piece of filler in there BEFORE adding juice. Her's how to do it and make it work:

Gert some blue foam - it workd perfectly. Take the blunt end of a wooden skewer, press the filler that comes in the carts down toward the small hole gently, add 3 drops juice, stuff your small piece of blue foam in, push it down so it will just clear the atty, add 3 more drops. Now enjoy :) When you need entirely new filler, use a tiny bit of poly fill to replace the factory fill, then blue foam as above. Inexpensive, easy and much better than prefilleds for these super mini's that most seem to dislike.

I love them, just not so much as they come, they need a little help to be good PVs :)

Excellent. Glad to be of help.

Now for the bad news....

I'm afraid you might have fallen prey to one of the ever-present "scams" out there... check out the sticky in this forum about not ordering "free trials". I HIGHLY suggest you get out of it if you can. You're paying way, way, way too much. See the kits and offers from cignot, madvapes, or some of the other suppliers here, and do some price comparisons. Also note that none of them (to my knowledge) will try to set you up on some kind of recurring nightmare charge deal. Plus, the products are generally about 1,000% higher quality & they don't try to BS you. To give you an idea... I mix my own fluid now (I order flavorings, 100mg juice, PG, from various suppliers), and refill my carts. I go thru about 5 or 6 carts-worth of fluid a day, or about 150-180 carts a month. My juice bill (including flavorings, replacement empty carts for the ones that wear out, etc.) will probably total $350-400 for the next year.

BTW, I got suckered too... my first ecig was a "smokingstick" POS, but it got me to quit analogs, so I'm grateful (even if I did have to cancel my credit card to get the charges to stop).

Best of luck... and happy vaping!

The mall had a vendor booth selling them. I think it was too expensive ($109), but at least I wasn't signed up for future purchases.

How do I get that cool box to show up on my posts that shows how many days, etc. I figured out how to make one, just not how to make it a part of posts??
