I took the tube apart ok, pulled a new atty out of the package, put it on top of the base, and noticed that it didn't have the little pointy thing (hey, I'm new to this, give me a break) at the very top. So I took the pointy thing off the old one and slipped it on to the new one, but it won't stand straight up. It's kind of leaning over. Is there a trick to this? Is there a video on this??

Hi Helenc :)

The pointy thingy should straighten itself out when you put the drip tip back on it. The condom that the new head came in , you don't have to keep if you don't want to. The new Stardust heads should have the pointy thing on them. The nova heads don't. But the good news is that you can do just what you did by putting the old pointy thingy on there and it should work just fine :D

Have you tried it yet to see if it vapes good for you with your new head ?

No, I didn't try it, because I didn't want to do something that might screw it up. :)

Do I need to do any cleaning on the pointy thing? What IS that anyway? lol

Do the stardust heads really not have pips anymore?

For my purposes anyway, psy of the benefit of the pip if more convenient refill without pouring juice down th air hole.

But, if what you actually have are vivi nova heads, can help make the transfer of parts more convenient. You will need both the silicone sleeve cap and the stardust pip still in it. Take the silicone sleeve and the spacer off the new head. Slide the new spacer into the old pip sleeve combo, then install on new head. The combo off all three parts makes sure the pip doesn't tilt and the unit doesn't leak.

Sorry I added to the confusion. :confused:I don't use them anymore and I was just perpetuating an earlier comment about them not having the pip anymore.
no no no, it's good Wally, cuz then everyone knows now you CAN use either ones with the Stardust. So when one's outta stock, I buy the other one :D least that's what I do anyways cuz they both work

So the "pip" is the lil short metal pipe at the top of the head ??? Other than that, they look fairly similar to the Nova replacement head, are they compatible? Screw ends look about the same, but I got juice in both my tanks, so haven't tried swapping the heads in between... Is it possible, maybe for a short term fix if you are out of the correct one for the tank???

Yuppers. You can use the heads interchangeably between the rebuildable stardusts and the vivi novas.:D

I do like having a clearomizer type head with ego threading and smaller size on my ego clone pv, but not sure if it is the shape vs. the tank on the miniNova, or perhaps just the material in the wick, but for some reason, I find myself doing more "twirling" on this guy than I do on the miniNova when the the fluid level gets lower to prevent a "burnt" taste...

Anyone else find similar or opposite ... Maybe I am just doing it wrong...
