Well I googled Kodo so I took a wild guess.
Alrighty, so what is it?
These are the Kodo drummers:
And this is them playing:

I have been a huge fan of them for twenty years or so. They are one of my primary influences in drumming, even though I play a kit, and my last several bands have been metal or triphop.
BUT that is not where the symbol comes from! It is similar, however. The Kodo drummers use a triple tomoe as their symbol:
And buddhists often use the lotus blossom:
And as such I favor both these symbols and the various meanings that are held for them. Now, for the ridiculously geeky part...
SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT In the cartoon series Avatar: The Last Airbender, there is a secret society of ancient masters who congregate around a mah-jong esque game called Pai Sho. They always start their games by playing the white lotus gambit:
The White Lotus, in general, is a symbol of the buddha, as it represents the ideal of how to live one's life and escape the cycle of of rebirth. It blossoms white from the muddy waters it lives in; it is from the muddy water, but the murkiness of it's surroundings does not effect it's nature. The White Lotus Society transcends political and national boundaries, to share and promote philosophy, beauty, and balance, and ends up being quite instrumental in helping the avatar save the world. It is a homage to the idea of a universal truth of goodwill, compassion, and balance. In retrospect, there's a part of me that wishes I'd gotten the chuck in white with the lotus symbol on it; however, this one matches my current chuck in oh-so-awesome ways and I like the idea of a steampunk-esque
device emblazoned with a very old philosophical ideal.
The proposal posted above ("if you know what this means I'll ask you to marry me") is there because if I find a cutie pie who is buddhist
and a vaper
and gets the reference to the cartoon, I have probably met my wife.
