Has anyone seen the Xhaler (from Nhaler)???? I'm not sure when they unveiled it, but I just saw it today. Is this a chuck ripoff or what??
Please don't get me wrong, I don't want to slam Drew at Nhaler. His juices are some of the best out there and his customer service is awesome.
But that Xhaler hmmm??? Looks like a pretty ghetto, chuck knock-off to me. IDK, What do you guys think???
(BTW...same price as a Chuck, go figure)

and again let me be clear: Drew and his juices and service are all awsome.

It's not a knock-off chuck... It's A GG!! Do a little reading, Imeo already addresses it and Drew openly admitted to taking a GG, Screwdriver, Prodigy, etc to his design meeting. It's a GG Grant, not a CHUCK.
The only 'issue' I've had is with the Mako, it's newly redesigned head cap id identical to mine (from what I can tell). It was rumored that they were making 'changes' to it though. Let's hope so.

Nah, I wouldn't call it a ripoff. It's got quite a few unique concepts behind it. I actually thought about buying one, but then I remembered that 3.7v works just fine for me, and I can order a Little Chuck exactly how I wanted it, instead of choosing from just a few options.

Seems like a nice little mod, though.

I stand corrected. I understand that it's a GG body and not a Chuck body. I guess I was talking more about the color selections, but I suppose you don't have sole rights to colored PVs.
It just seems to me that with the colors, it is intended to compete with the Chuck, but I don't see how it ever could. For one thing it's aluminum. That switch placement seems terible. And that head cap looks like it would be a total Bit** to get off (especially with a little juice on it).

IDK..just my .02, but I don't know why anyone with $75 in hand looking for a mod would buy that instead of a Chuck.

Dont knock it until you try one. I ordered one becasue I was intruiged that it can vape at 3.7, 5.0, 6.0, and 7.4 volts (not that I would ever use the 7.4V). I plan on ordering a Chuck and have already ordered a BB from Altsmoke.

I have been reading this forum since June 2009 and have yet to understand why people feel the need to knock other mods. Each has its own merrit and will appeal to different people. The Xhaler can vape at all those voltages, the Chuck has absolutely beautiful customizations and finishes, the BB is sleek-has a button no else uses- and has a 5V usb option.

As long as I have been reading this forum I just don't get the hostility between doffernt mod fan bases. In the end I am just glad we have so many more choices than 6 months ago and think each mod has its own purpose for each person. Its great to love what you own but it doesn't make everything else out there crap! WHen you really think about it all mods are eventually a rip off or knock off ov all other mods. They all serve the same purpose but go about it a different way.

Sorry I am off my soapbox now. I just felt compelled to respond because I see this happen so often. It is one thing to do an unbiased review but to knock other mods that you have no first hand experience with just seems wrong.

Thanks for listening.....

Won't let me edit for some reason so....

Edit: I think calling it a "ripoff" was the wrong wording. I was just referring to the colors. I should have called it a chuck wannabe. I think I'm ok with that statement.
I think the only thing that would get me to buy one (short of him making it half the price of a chuck), is the fact that Drew is selling it. And if there's a chance that it could take something away from Imeo, I'm all for that too ;)

Just for the record my comments weren't directed at you specifically. I just felt a need to step on my soapbox for a minute. I quit smoking analogs on July 1st 2009 starting off with a DES901. I then moved to a Joye510 and am now finally venturing into the HV world. I smoked a carton of cigarettes a week for almost 18 years and was able to totally stop analogs when I received my first 901.

My whole point was that I am so glad I found this site and pv's ( so is my wife!!!) that sometimes I think we all lose some focus as to how great these things really are. Mods have come a long way ( and I am sure will continue to develop) and it just seems silly sometimes to argure over what mod is best. Mods are like individuals they are all different in some way but still serve the same purpose. Some will work better for some people than others will but that is why we have choices. Just doesn't make sense to waste so much time arguing whose mod is better and who's a knock off of whose. Last I checked I don't think any of the modders are hurting for business. Seems like they are all too busy! :D

Point taken. And a good point at that. I almost never try to cut on anyone's product. I know that Drew has researched this, poured time into it, and is hopeful for its success.
I just think if you are going to sell something at the same price as something else, it should be the same quality, performance, etc. or better in some way.
I hate to see ppl spend their hard earned money on something, and then be disappointed to find they could have gotten something better for the same money. Yes, it is true, I have never tried this product(Xhaler that is), but I can take one look at the pic and tell you with all certainty that it is inferior.

For me it is less about telling the maker their product sucks or whatever. And more about helping the buyer get the most for their money. The ONLY improvement I see on this device is the changeable head caps for different attys. But again, with 2 adapters I can use 5 different attys on my chuck.
And if you want to get technical about it, I vape a chuck at 4.2V, 6V, 7.2V, and 8.4V. (and there is no 3.7V, 4.2 is what you get from a 3.7batt)

But all that being said, I don't like to knock anyone, and I don't like when others knock anyone. (and I'm kinda even regretting the post now).

BTW: that's showing some serious restrant, reading this forum since June and only making 15 posts.

Thanks, not really restraint, I just like to take things all in and have an understanding before I post. I have always tried to be helpful on other forums as I appreciate helpful people. Always enjoy a good civil discussion as well:D

As far as the Xhaler being inferior, I guess we'll see. I should hopefully have mine next week and my BB in a coupkle weeks when the preorders ship. After that I will order my chuck (already have my graphic and finish picked out) and then I can compare them. I am sure we will see some comparsions before then as I know quite a few other people will have both sooner than me. It should be interesting!

I don't think the XHaler is an inferior product. I actually thought about getting one. Of course, I like the shiny new toys. It's got some interesting features.

But after thinking about it for a while, I knew that I would be happier with my Chuck and Little Chuck. It's all about the style for me.

I wish Drew well. I'm sure he will have much success with the XHaler.

Now, let's get off that subject in this thread, and keep talking about the glory that is the Chuck... and the Little Chuck.

Chucks are for people who want to be creative and stand out from the crowd and who dont
want something that looks predetermined that a bunch of people already have. Every chuck is an extension of the person who purchased it, how they feel and what they like. That's why I feel the chuck isn't a "ripoff" of some other model, Just it's own improvement on the basic appearance and cylindrical style of design that most custom mods use.

Speaking of which, I ordered mine on the 1st/2nd hoping Jeff gets started on mine this weekend *Crossing finger*. I just got my batteries yesterday form dealextreme and shocked it only took 12 days from china! So everytime I even look at these batteries and charger I cant help to jump on this thread to see if there's any chuck p0rn and what people are talking about I dont post much just read so this is rare. Kinda ...... I ordered cr123a 3.7v now, I dont want my throat to melt. lucky I got 4 18650's as well. I want my traditional asian painting chuck so I can sport it at the karaoke bars already. LOL

Ok ok, I don't always think before I speak. (gets me in trouble with the wife all the time). It's a little presumptuous of me to think I can tell inferiority from a pic. But I can state, the features that I think are inferior (and to be fair superior). Inferior: aluminum, bad switch placement, cheesy color wraps. Superior: changeable head caps, voltage regulator. There, is that a fair enough assessment.

Angus... I don't think this discussion is of topic (if there is such a thing in this thread) at all. Part of discussing the Chuck should be discussing how it compares to other mods.
And like Cobra, I am definitely looking forward to getting a real world, first hand comparison, of the Xhaler and the Chuck from someone that owns both.
But for anyone planning on doing this... please use the same atty, same juice, same voltage on both.

You people, your crazy enthusiasm is infectious!. I stumbled on this thread while looking for a supplement/replacement for my screwdriver. I like the screwdriver, don't get me wrong, but after a year the switch is sometimes unreliable, it rolls off my desk all the time, and then the worst thing - I left it at work one day, and had no back up for the evening! Horror!

I also wanted something that would take a bigger battery than the 880mah 16340s that I use in the SD. Amazing how spoiled you get right?

I looked at the Prodigy (in redesign) The Silver Bullet (out of stock) the GG (pricey, button at the bottom instead of the top, really wanted something American) the JantyStick (Out of stock, short battery life - but USB a plus) the Adaptever (will still roll off the desk.)

When I first saw the Chuck my thought was, meh. But as I continued to scroll through the thread I caught the bug. Yesterday I ordered my first Chuck, Matte black, with Mirror Black caps for an 801. Batteries (3000MAH!!!!) and Atomizers are on their way.

In the long run the customizability, reviews, and lack of problem reports really impress me. Now, of course I turned around and went with something simple. Black on Black. Will go perfectly on days when I am wearing black or charcoal based outfits. But then I think, what if I am wearing brown?

Already thinking, hmm clear coat on copper with chrome caps would probably work well on days when I am wearing brown. When I smoked analogs I had a black laquered lighter, and a brown marble laquered lighter, why not do the same with the Chucks?

Then I could get a wilder one for home and weekend - some of the designs that have been posted here are just jaw dropping.

You caught me, sucked my into your addiction, gave me your fever, and turned me Chucklicious. Now to make it through the waiting period.....

Judging by the color coordination with the outfits I'm going to say girl not guy (Sorry if I'm wrong frazzled:oops:)

to the topic of xhaler: Jeff should just put a patent on his work and there wont be any rip offs.

Probably tough to patent a cylindrical battery holder, but I don't think Jeff has anything to worry about. I don't see anyone being able to match him on quality, customs, and service in the near future.:)
