On your head. My hair is really fine and would fall out like crazy in the winter. I noticed a huge reduction of hair loss when shampooing when I was on the stuff.

Seriously though, the stuff is good for ya and kills the hungries right quick.
I bought some food grade aloe vera a few years ago but I never ingested it. I bought it to use as a hair conditioner and it really seemed to help when I remembered to use it. Maybe I'll get some more and start drinking it instead. Wonder if I can add vodka.

I have to say...in just a page and a half, I saw MORE beautiful puppers, laughed, cried and laughed again!

Jobs come n go, time heals almost everything and we will all be okay even when we feel we wont. Sometimes a jobloss, or near death exp even, is a boot in the ... to a better place. Many of us "settle" out of being "comfortable" but we *wanted* MORE the entire time. This "boot" from ur employer is prob the best thing ever for u guys...you both obviously deserve a better employer who values what you do more and Im sure ull enjoy the next one more if treated better ;) So- good luck guys! Go for the unimagineable job youve always wanted...bc you may just land it....just bc you actually went for it ;)

As for the aloe...I never had a hair issue before ( too much that is, Im basically hair ......ant lol) and recently, at my last two haircuts, TWO diff ladies told me my hair was VERY thin on top and soooooo much thicker on the sides n back. HELLO!!!!! DONT EVER EVER EVER EVER TELL A WOMAN HER HAIR IS THINNING!!!!! To make matters worse, the second (last cut) lady cut off WAYYY TOO MUCH AFTER she had the nerve to ask if "thinning hair" ran in either side of family in women...arrrgh! My hair is fine thanks....Fine as in...its there...its "Thin..meaning "fine" in hair world" and I HAVE NO BALDNESS DARNIT!!!!

whew! end rant.....****sneaks off to find food grade aloe to guzzle while hiding wayy too short hair under headrag****

Ladies... Aloe is great. Very good for you. One thing though. It can be a very MOVING experience. Sometimes without much warning!

Start out slow. A half cup is probably toooo much to start out on.

My hair is thinning -- as in "oh look, there's scalp."

Unfortunately, the field I work in is dying -- print research. There are at least half a dozen good people without jobs right now. And I'm 56 which makes it harder.

So now I have to figure out what else I can do with 25 years experience in this field.

What does help, and I've been meaning to get back to it, aloe vera juice. Taste like skunkass but not bad if you mix it with a tiny bit of juice. Great appetite suprressant, regulates you and is good for hair growth. Drink a serving of it before dinner and then work to other meals.

I'll pass on the skunkass. Even if it means having hair on my head again. I've found that as I get older, I loose the hair I want to keep and the hair pops up in places I don't want any, ie: ears, nose. I have gotten used to the bald head after all these years and I like the no mess, no fuss head.

If the kitchen manager who quit finds something, you know he's going to hire you so I'll hope either one of you finds something soon. At least your profession will never be obsolete.
Yeah im sure he will. As for your situation i'm sorry. I wish i could help. Hell, maybe we should open a Vape shop together. Nevermind, bad idea. I would take everything to try out myself and never make a dime.

Sorry to hear about the work troubles guys. My business has been down 60% and I work on a commission basis. I can live on what I make now but the powers that be are starting to breathe down my neck. I'm a financial advisor in a very small chicken farming town and they want me to bring in 850k of new business per month...that is just lol funny, So I may be in the same boat before too long

I found this on the Mayo Clinic site in regard to taking aloe vera by mouth:
Side Effects and Warnings

The use of aloe or aloe latex by mouth for laxative effects can cause cramping or ......... Use for over seven days may cause dependency or worsening of constipation after the aloe is stopped. Ingestion of aloe for over one year has been reported to increase the risk of colorectal cancer. Individuals with severe abdominal pain, appendicitis, ileus (temporary paralysis of the bowel), or a prolonged period without bowel movements should not take aloe. There is a report of hepatitis (liver inflammation) with the use of oral aloe.

Electrolyte imbalances in the blood, including low potassium levels, may be caused by the laxative effect of aloe. This effect may be greater in people with diabetes or kidney disease. Low potassium levels can lead to abnormal heart rhythms or muscle weakness. People with heart disease, kidney disease, or electrolyte abnormalities should not take aloe by mouth. Healthcare professionals should watch for changes in potassium and other electrolytes in individuals who take aloe by mouth for more than a few days.

Read the rest here.

I realize that they're very thorough in listing everything that could possibly go wrong, but I don't think it's worth the risk. So I'll stick with using it on my hair and just drink the vodka. :D
