The Mitred Conure, Poeia, isn't plucked at all. Annabella, the Yellow Collar Macaw, is my little baldy. We went to the vet about it. There are a few possible causes (including irritation from my cigarette smoke) but the main one is probably that she takes after me and eats everything that doesn't move out of the way first. It's difficult (and itchy) for the new quills to make it through the fat. She did lose a little weight and then she let some of the feathers grow back so I assume that's it.Poeia-those conures can sometimes be famous for pluckin thier own feathers out if more than one bird on the flockMy old boss put benadryl in her water for a week to slow her down n make her sleepy a bit so she didnt pluck as much and got some feathers back... I believe it was half a ben (25mg) crushed into her water...
If it were a multiple bird thing it would have shown up before Poeia was 17 and Annabella 13. So that can't be it. Besides, Poeia knows that she's an "only" bird and Annabella is just visiting and will leave any day now.

I love your bird, very pretty. I've never seen hot pink on a bird like that before. She coordinates well with your new chuck.
Speaking of chucks, I need mine bad....damn 510 batts went out and I was stuck at the dealership waiting for my kid to pick me up and it was pouing rain and he drives crazy in his little fourbanger jeep which is louder than heck with his goofed up muffler and his little super swampers all the while listening to the cottonmouth kings (if I am gonna listen to stuff of that subject matter, I'd rather listen to some Marley, much more chillin than that rap beat crap)....I hit the analogs most of the way home. Deciding if I need a beer, a pill or both after that trip home! Got a fresh battery now so maybe I'll just chill and vape a bit and try to relax.

it is easier than that to post pictures from photobucket here. If you run your mouse over the photobucket picture a bunch of codes will show up at the bottom. Copy the IMG code. Come here, post, click the little icon at the top of the message bar that says image. Now erase the http// thing that shows up in the box and copy your image code from photobucket in it. It is easy if I can do it.
What I can't do is figure out how to put an avatar here. I tried all the codes from photobucket and it either says wrong size or wrong code. Of course, this is a person who just figured out how to use alt tab to keep several windows open at the same time after how many years of doing the back and forth thing. LOL!

I haven't tried using an avatar that's in photobucket -- it's very easy to do with one that's on your computer. Just upload it directly.
ETA: And Poeia isn't as pink as the camera made her look. She's really a true redhead.

I had actually considered "shrinking" that animated GIF and using it as my avatar. But then people might have thought that I had a "light and funny side".

That one belongs to a friend who saw mine awhile back. I called him earlier today and he had already seen it and is about to bust a gut to get it. He said he sent Jeff 4 images and told him to pick one, so Jeff is the creater because he combined them to get that particular image.

Yep, seems you can't do animated without being a "supporting member". The image size is smaller than mine but it would need to be optomized as the file size is rather large.

I was referring to the House fandom, not this one. On the whole I find the HL (Hugh Laurie) freaks normal but that might just be because I am one of them. (Although, from what I hear, he does have at least one borderline dangerous stalker.) Most of Wilson's fans are pretty rational as well.
There's one Cameron fan who considered a hunger strike when she left. When she started on how the FCC shouldn't allow them to write Cameron off, we had to ban her because she was scaring the other members. Everyone feels sorry for her because she obviously has serious problems but a fan forum is not the place to get psychiatric help. We were hoping she's get stop working herself into a froth if she couldn't post, but she found another place (or two) to do it.
