I pulled up a cache of the old site from google. The images are borked... I mean moved since upgrade. I do believe that the image Thy is talking about is the main image on the new site. I could be wrong, but it is the same image as Jeff's avatar on here. Maybe he was thinking about is siggy on here? Thy what image are you talking about? I believe it would be a nicer/meatier touch than just the plain text.
I believe the image in question is the one Mike posted... if I'm wrong could someone please let me know? As for that particular image, great job Mike. Don't suppose you could clean up the text?
Also, I'd like Jeff's input. I might have designed the site, but it is his site.
I cleaned up most of the text (had to track down the correct font - haven't yet found the "hand written" font)
Oh, and I'm not sure what dimensions you want/need. My last post was a new file I made with the thought you might consider running it across the whole top instead of just over the left side? I can make it as large/small as you want, just let me know what width you need.
I'm not sure what the best course is yet. It's gonna take some trail and error. Having the logo on the right side seems redundant given the larger version in the sidebar. Similarly, having the url on the header seems pointless.
Well I took the word "signature" too far, over thinking as usual. After seeing Mike post I realize which it is.
I agree about both those points. Personally, I'd use the logo (with "Jeff Built") and remove the URL (I do agree it makes sense in Jeff's signature, but not on the site).
Looks wonderful. I just noticed the random Chucks on the right -- great touch.
I have a decent connection -- downgraded from cable to Verizon (anything to get away from Time Warner) -- so graphics aren't usually a problem for me. It was probably just that we were all inspecting the beautiful new layout at the same time. You did a great job on it.

I am an expert nit-picker. I found a couple of typos on the front page. (Actually, I think they were there before but, as long as you're updating, it's a good time to fix them.)
It is a very rare occurrence especially with PROTECTED batteries, which I highly recommend, however the possibility is there.

yes that is the one I meant. But actually looking at it again I would actually say that having just the :
at the top of the page redone in a graphic format that stands out more would look better. But that is just personal opinion. Either way the site rebuild looks much better than the old one.

Actually, I was sorta hoping that Jeff had discontinued copper so my new copper Tweety would become a collectors' item.
Given that every CHUCK is unique, one could claim that every one is a collectors' item...That's what we're here for.
