How to spot fake lg/samsung batteries?

With VTC it was pretty easy to spot fake ones, but now the LG HE2 and Samsung 25R are the ones I see in most stores, and the only reason I haven't got any of them yet is just because I have no clue how to verify that they're authentic (without peeling off the wrap).

Hmmm...I've never heard of these batteries being duped...guess I'll look into it...

The best way to avoid the fakes is purchase batteries from a reputable vendor.

To my knowledge, the LG and Samsung cells have not been duplicated/faked/counterfeited YET. As a matter of fact, the Samsung 25R was recently used to counterfeit a bunch of VTC5's so it would appear that cell is much cheaper in price right off the jump. What sells is the name, and since the VTC5 had such a wide following and was known far and wide as the "best" battery for subohm vaping it gained enough of an audience and had such limited availability that it became profitable to counterfeit it and dupe people. Sucks to think about it, but the more we tell people that the LG's and Samsungs are great batteries the more likely they are to be counterfeited...
